"Wait, you guys know each other?"

"Damn right we do, I was gonna marry her."

Eriss's eyes shot open suddenly. Instead of her white ceilings she saw a mirror. She was in the same position in the Chris's bed and everything was the same as before.

"What the fuck?"

Eriss got up ignoring the cool air she felt as the sheet dropped from her body. Her underwear. Right where it was just 15 minutes ago.

She looked to her right and there the hidden closet sat, completely untouched as though she had never woken up.

Wait. Did she not wake up? Was that a dream?

Eriss quickly went into the closet and got the 49er's jersey.

She walked down the hallway noting how everything was in it's place. The smells, the sounds of voices, the sunlight, everything down to the last piece of dust was the same.

This was more than deja vu. If everything was on repeat then that meant Ren was going to be there. She neared the kitchen. Instead of going in however she stayed hidden.

"Now is really not a good time for you to come 'check up on my new apartment" Eriss listened in confusion and watched their turned backs.

"Well there's big news Chris."

"Huh, and that matters to me why?"

"The cat is here, in New York,"

"What?" Chris turns to look up at him from the pan as Ren leisurely sips his coffee. "I don't remember offering you coffee, you need to leave." He snaps at Ren. Who are they to each other that they can speak so casually? Eriss watched them in confusion from her hiding place.

"I know what your thinking, and it is your business. The cat is close to being awakened soon. Wherever it is we need to find it soon before anything else gets a hold of it."

"Again not my problem," Chris stops speaking and tenses up slightly. "You should really go, I have company."

"You have a girl over?"

"Yes! That's what I've been trying to tell you ever since you let yourself into MY apartment."

"It's hardly your apartment-" Ren pauses and sniffs deeply.

"What now?"

"That smell..."

"You mean the smell of my gourmet omelet?" Chris looked up from the pan to stare at Ren warily.

Ren feels a sudden drop in his stomach as he recognizes the scent as Eriss's. 'Could it really be her?' He thought to himself as he whipped his head around searching for the source. He finally zeroed in on the left wall of the kitchen doorway. He began to approach the doorway intent on finding the 'girl' his cousin had over.

Eriss's breathing hitched as she listened to his footsteps close in on her. He couldn't know that she was here , he couldn't see her like this.

Just as he was about to find her however, Ren felt a firm hold on his should. He looked from the hand on his tailored suit to the face of the owner.

Chris stared at Ren fiercely and gripped his arm tighter.

"You really need to go. You're going to give my guest a heart attack,"
