Failed Experiment 「Rewriting 」

His Son

Months had passed since he was first turned into a monster. Ezekiel was currently curled on the cold floor, he was too hot to snuggle or even lay in the bed. His eyes moved as if he could see the whole room, but everyone knows the boy is blind. The doctor had gotten a new assistant, but Ezekiel didn't care to much to remember her name. He also cared little with what or who he hurt.

Suddenly the door opens up causing him to raise up just a little bit from his curled position. A soft, soothing voice rings in his ears asking, "Are you hungry?"

To which he replies with a simple nod and moves to sit criss cross (apple sauce hehe.) The lady slowly and hesitantly makes her way towards the boy with a tray of food. The lady sits and takes a deep breath before grabbing the fork and stabbing the meat on the tray. "Say aahh.."

Ezekiel quickly obeys and purrs at the taste of the food. He swallows and grabs her wrist. "Why are you scared?"

The lady clears her throat now shaking. "I-it's nothing!"

Ezekiel lets go of her wrist and opens his mouth showing that he is ready for another bite.

After he was fed the doctor came in and checked on him, writing down any changes or reactions he has. Once having everything down here decides to send a kid in there, the kid was his son. His new assistant warned him that Ezekiel could kill his son and the doctor told her he was well aware of that. "Come Josh, I want you to meet someone. "

Josh rolled his eyes and huffed. "What's their name?"

The doctor smiles and stops at experiment 6-001's room. "Ezekiel."

Josh hums. "Is there anything I need to know about them?"

The doctor nods. "He is blind and has killed most of the kids we have sent in here. "

"Just open the door already, dad."

The doctor nods and hesitantly opens the door for his son to walk through. It was funny once you thought about how mature his son--who was only 10-- was compared to others his age.

Josh strode into the room and sighs when he hears the door being shut and locked. He lets his eyes focus on the boy who was curled up in a ball facing him. "Hey."

Ezekiel instantly sat up and waited for the voice to speak out again, so he knew where it was coming from. After a few minutes of silence he spoke out. "Can you please speak again, so I know where to look?"

Josh ignores how scratchy and broken his voice sounds, and says, "Hey. "

Ezekiel now looks towards Josh's direction. "Hey.."

Josh can already tell he was gonna like this kid. He made his way towards him and sat down, so they were face to face. "My name is Josh." he says and grabs Ezekiel's hands.

Ezekiel flinches at the sudden feeling of the coldness of Josh's hands. "Nice to meet you Josh. "

"So tell me 'bout the beast my father has left you with, better yet show me. "

Ezekiel gulps and shakes his head. He didn't want to hurt this boy he liked him. "I...I don't wanna hurt you...."

Josh chuckles and squeezes his hands to comfort him. "Don't worry."

Ezekiel calmed and slowly closed his eyes and searched for the beast inside of him. He prayed that it wouldn't want to come out, but it did anyway. The beast took over his body and made him shift into the thing he was.

Josh gasped at the sight of the huge beautiful creature in front of him. The gasp caused the beast to look towards him and growl. Josh just smiled and put out his hand. The beast tilted its head and sniffed at the hand before pressing its snout into it. "Good boy. "

The beast pulled back and growled. "NoT a DoG."

"Okay, okay can I call you puppy?"

"YeS."

Josh smiles and carefully moves his hand to rest on the hybrid's snout. "I'm Josh. "

"I kNoW, mE aNd HiM aRe ThE sAmE pErSoN." the beast moves closer to Josh.

"Why do you do it?"

The beast tilts his head. "I dOn'T qUiTe UnDeR sTaNd."

Josh pulls his hand away and sets it in his lap. "Why do you kill the other kids and harm the people who take care of you?"

The beast huffs and says, "We BoTh HaVe BuIlT uP aNgEr."

"So you kill to rid of the anger you both have?" Josh asks.

It nods. "YeS, bUt It NeVeR wOrKs. "

Josh hums and smiles. "Puppy, I would like Ezekiel back. "

The beast whines, but obeys and gives Ezekiel control again. "Oh god did he hurt you?" he questions, reaching out to try and find him.

Josh grabs his hands and just says,"Stand." Ezekiel slowly stands and shuffles along when Josh starts to move. "Get some rest. I will be in here to feed you and talk to you more tommorow."

Ezekiel nods and lays down. "Bye.."

Josh smiles. "Bye Zeke."
