I put a little note at the end ): please read it, I'm sort of insecure about this chapter!
The next morning Liam encouraged Louis to go try and convince Harry before their show would start, which Louis happily agreed to.
"Harold?" he mumbled and opened Harry's curtain, raising an eyebrow when he saw Harry anxiously fiddling with his bandana. "What's up?" he couldn't actually see over the bunk, he was too short.
"Nothing, it's just it's the last show this year and I don't want to mess it up." Harry shrugged as he spoke, tying the bandana around his unruly curls.
"You won't." Louis replied, climbing up and whispering. "How do you feel about Liam's plan from yesterday? I'm all for it." he looked him dead in the eyes, looking for honesty.
"It's risky Lou, really risky, it's dangerous and anything could happen." Harry said with a whine, crossing his arms. "I'd rather be in a highly secure building."
"But we could get rid of management Harry, c'mon think about it. No more controlling us, no more hiding away and pretending to be something else." Louis spoke in a tone which was borderline spooky to Harry.
Harry thought for a second and chewed the inside of his cheek, tying the back of his bandana. "That does make it tempting." he muttered and pursed his lips into a straight line. "Fine, I'm in, but on one condition."
"And what's that?" Louis asked, he sort of zoned out as soon as Harry said he was in on the plan. His mind was thinking of all the things they could all do once management was out of the way.
"We all stick together. No turning on each other, we have to protect each other." he whispered, looking at Louis and rubbing the back of his own neck out of anxiety.
"Yeah, yeah, sure Haz. Of course." Louis nodded and smiled, jumping down. It didn't take long to convince Niall, all he had to do was tell him that whenever they'd eat they'd go wherever he wanted.
He took a glance at Zayn's bed and debated whether or not to go to him, but decided to step outside the bus and light a cigarette. He could just walk off now and start early, there was no cameras or bodyguards out here.
"So, guessing you're all for this insane plan of Liam's then." came a mumbled Bradford accent from beside him, he turned slightly and looked at Zayn.
"Yeah, I mean, it'd really fucking help us Z." Louis spoke before inhaling the smoke of his cigarette, sighing a little. "We're all tired of hiding out, and I know you are too."
"I am, but I wouldn't go to those extremes, even if it was legal." Zayn shook his head and chuckled lightly, glancing at Louis.
"But Zaynnnn, we could do whatever the hell we wanted! Think about it!" Louis was practically begging at this point, watching Zayn's expression change slowly.
"Whatever we wanted? I mean that does sound good." he stopped and thought for a second. "How are we going to defend ourselves? How do we get weapons?" he asked with a raised brow.
"Well, it's pretty easy to get hold of weapons now Z. We all just need to agree that we aren't gonna turn on each other, stab each other in the back; literally." Louis muttered and a shiver ran down his body as he said that, his mind flickering to other things.
"You good?" Zayn kept his eyebrow raised, frowning slightly. "You keep zoning out Tommo." he mumbled and watched Louis flinch, snapping out of his trance.
"I just keep thinking about- nothing, nothing it's stupid. Let's just focus on getting our freedom." he said with a shy smile, flicking his cigarette away before stepping back into the bus.
All he could think about was the other boys getting hurt, after all it wasn't like anyone would care about who they hurt. It wasn't like anyone would feel guilty.
Louis took a small glance at each of the boys bunks, his eyes lingering over Harry's before he shook his head and sipped from his bottle of water. He decided it was best to stay calm and act like everything was fine.
He sat down on a little stool next to the small bar that was set up on the bus, watching Liam walk through. "Hey Li, there's something on my mind."
"Yeah? What's up?" Liam asked, he wasn't facing him but he was listening while he began making himself some breakfast.
"What if one of us gets hurt?" Louis whispered and leant on his elbows, swallowing hard. "It's just stuck in my head and it's scary to think someone could get hurt in the process."
"If you're worrying about Harry, he'll be fine. I know he's your best friend and all, I promise he'll be safe." Liam said with a soft chuckle and turned to face him. "I'm not going to let some random psychopath hurt someone I class as a brother's best friend. Ever."
"Thanks Li, I know I can count on you." Louis replied with a smile, walking back across the bus and back up onto his bunk.
Liam felt a shock of nerves hit him, Harry's life was now in his hands, he'd just put a huge responsibility on himself. He had a plan, though, to get them out.
There was this boat their management had kept, it wasn't far, maybe just a ten minute walk away. They could easily jump on that, it was pretty fast and it would be safe until they needed to get out.
That's when it would get tricky, he had to protect Harry with everything he had, while Harry was holding a weapon and basically being a threat to anyone else who was out to kill. It would be a risk, but it was a risk Liam was willing to take.
Liam already had a way to get weapons, he had three days to obtain weapons for each boys and replacements and some bloody ammo. He was just glad that he wasn't clueless, he'd worked it all out a while ago.
As everything began to settle in, the fact they were actually doing it, he ate his breakfast and heard whispering coming from the bunks. He couldn't make out which one it was, but he could only guess.
He allowed some time for himself to be mentally prepared for what he'd see, he wanted the others to be prepared. He knew how protective they were of each other, they were all extremely close and had such a tight bond.
He knew Louis would be protecting Harry, he knew Zayn would be protecting Niall (and Liam), he knew he himself would be trying to protect everyone. It was scary to think that their lives were in each other's hands, that if anything happened to any of them that the intense guilt would weigh down on their shoulders.
He had to focus on the main objective, though, getting rid of the bastards who made them this way. The ones who made them suffer every single day. Management; it was time for them to go once and for all.
He sat down on his bunk and locked his fingers together, staring at the wall in front of him. Thoughts and ideas clambering themselves together in his mind, interlocking, growing. It was a crime scene in his head, and he fucking loved it.
This is sort of rough and Ill probably edit it at some point (I'm not entirely sure if I like the way it planned out) but thank you for reading! Remember to check out the people I got the idea from! They're wonderful people🍒💓
