Jin was excited.

Very, very excited.

In fact, he was so excited he has woken up before his alarm and was now stuck in his cocoon until it would ring. He sensed the sun slowly moving down, praying for it to be faster, and turning again and again in his cocoon of darkness. He programmed his alarm to wake him up at the very start of the twilight but even if he wished to go out now, it would be too dangerous when the sun is still entirely in the sky.

His alarm went off, and he burst out of his cocoon, before suddenly stopping and looking at his hands, slightly scared he went out too soon. He sighed with relief after seeing his hands completely normal and solid.

He put on some clothes and then tiptoed outside of his room. The house was silent. His family was still asleep at this time of the night. Jin's pointy ears were moving at each little sound of creaking wood. He absolutely didn't want his family to wake up now, because he would have to find a good reason for being awake this early in the night. He quickly arrived downstairs, put his shoes on and exited the house.

He was walking quickly and when he was far enough from the house, just to be sure no one would hear him, he broke into a run, going as fast as he could.

"I hope he is still there..."

After several minutes of non-stop run through the fields, he finally saw his destination. A big tree was standing in the middle of an abandoned field and a young man of around his age was sitting under it with a worried look on his face.

"Ilios!"

Jin called. The blonde one turned around when he heard his name and smiled at the sight of the guy running towards him. Jin stopped when he was finally near him, panting from the big run he just had.

"I... I thought you were... already... gone!" he managed to choke out between two fast breaths.

Ilios helped him sit down and rub his back to help him breath more easily.

"Easy there, I missed you too but try to not die on me okay?"

Jin chuckled and concentrated on recovering. When he finally did, he felt Ilios' hand leaving his back and saw him sit beside him.

"The sunset is beautiful today isn't it?" "Of course since you're here." responded Jin while he softly took His Ilios' hand, earning a chuckle from the blonde.

His hands were warm, heated up by the sun all day long Ilios yawned.

"I'm so tired... Do you mind if I lay down?"

The dark haired one shook his head, knowing his lover was awake for a long time, days were longer in summer and it was certain that he didn't have the time to sleep in the middle of the day. The blonde lied down, putting his head on his knees. Jin couldn't resist tabgling his fingers in his lover's hairs. He felt his other hand being held tighter by the day guy.

"Are you comfortable like that?"

He felt him nodding, his head rubbing against his skin. They both watched the beautiful colors of the sunset in a comfortable silence, listening to the breeze caressing the grass all around them and the leaves of the tree above their heads. It felt like the rest of the world has disappeared, like they were on a little island where the time had stopped and the twilight will last forever. Jin, even though it seemed as if Ilios fell asleep, somehow knew he was still wide awake. It was funny to see how they looked so different.

When Ilios had a tan skin, Jin's was pale in an almost unhealthy way. While Jin's hair was long enough to cover his pointy hears, Ilios liked to keep his short. When Ilios had blue pale eyes to a point you could think he was blind, Jin's were dark like puddles of ink where you nearly couldn't see his vertical pupils that help him see in the dark like it was daytime.

After what felt like an eternity, Jin begun to find the sun a bit too low for his lover's safety. When he looked down, he saw that he was right. Ilios was beginning to fade away, his body a bit more transparent.

"-You should go to your light bath and get some sleep. The sun is nearly down.

- I know..."

He stood up into a sitting position, Jin getting his hand out of his hair with regret.

"I just wish I could be with you longer..." Ilios said, softly putting his free hand on his lover's cheek.

- I wish too."

There was a short pause where both of them were lost in each other's eyes. The fact that the blonde's one was a tad more transparent every inch the sun was moving towards the ground made Jin snapped out of it and break the visual contact.

"You have to go before you disappear. Daytime is nearly over..."

Ilios smiled with regret and he leaned toward the night man to give him a kiss. It was short but filled with all his love and passion. They separated reluctantly, both wanting it to be longer but it was dangerous for the blond to stay more. He stood up, looking down at Jin with a weak smile compared to the big smile, bright and warm as the sun Jin was used to see.

"I'll see you at dawn" he said, trying to make the thing easier even if it meant wearing a crooked smile to make the dark haired man feel a bit better.

Their hands slowly detached from each other, letting Jin's arms fall to his side. Ilios then turned around and took his pathhome. Jin wished he could go with him, but like all the past time, he knew hisfamily will be scared of him and mad as Ilios for being familiar with a"monster" like his own family will react the same way if Ilios came home withhim, calling him a "pretention day guy" or something like that. Day and Nightcreatures weren't supposed to be together right?... Jin watched Ilios disappearin the distance, and with a pinch in his heart, he realized he was alreadymissing him.
