The minute his car pulled into the university's main lot, Mitch looked at the building in shock. He expected it to big, but it was as if the Olympians and founders of Hogwarts came together to build this campus. The car soon stopped at the bottom of the stairs to his future, and he couldn't be more nervous. He wouldn't admit his anxiety, though, because he learned to close everyone out at a very young age. He wouldn't let anyone close enough to hurt him, so he slowly walked in, two bags in hand, into the place that was about to change his life forever. He went to the main desk, and the clerk's took his bags while he waited for his guide.
"Are you Mitchell?" A gorgeous, Galaxy clad brunette silently asked as she was walking up."I go by Mitch, actually," Mitch corrected kindly. "I am assuming you're my guide."
"Sophia King at your service," she reached her hand to offer a handshake, him obliging. "Now, everything you ever need is in this one building. All of the classes are in this building, along with the the living quarters are all in here. We're separated in houses, kinda like a Greek Hogwarts, and you'll be in Perseus house with me. The nearest town is only a five minute walk, and it's one big mall of everything that this building doesn't provide."
"That's insane," Mitch smiled, standing up. "I didn't realize how big Olympus U was. Why is it called Olympus?"
"The founder believed in Greek mythology," she explained. "He decided to build a giant indoor University in hopes to appease the Olympians. Rumor has it that the Olympians lurk around here, disguised as students. I, myself have never met an Olympian, but most students believe it. Anyways, let me show you to the Perseus house. It's on the top floor. It is literally the best house you can get."
Mitch nodded and followed her to a gilded elevator engraved with the greek version of the word Olympus, and he had no clue how he could read it because he was Italian. He shook off the confusion and hopped on the elevator, Sophia pushing the button with "Perseus" above it instead of a number. The elevator shot up, faster than any elevator he had been on before, and by time it stopped, the man's legs were goo. Sophia held him up until he caught his balance, and she pushed the open button, his jaw dropping when he saw what was through the elevator doors.
When Sophia said that the founder was trying to appease the gods, she wasn't kidding. The main room was made to resemble that Parthenon, with a two hundred feet Athena statue, Olive tree, and fountain in the center. The walls, ceiling, and flooring were made of pure quartz and gold, and the Olympians' symbols and Greek spelled names covered the walls in the most artistic and ornate way. The furniture, though, were incredibly modern compared to the foundation of the room.
Directly in front of the fountain, there stood a dining table with four chairs on each side, the dishes forming a pattern of silver and gold. In the center of the table an Olympus replica surrounded by rainbow clouds of cotton. On the left and right side, there were entries to hallways, one labeled gods and one labeled goddesses. Behind the fountain and statue was a gaming area, sharing the area with four couches boxing around a giant tv. The gaming area had two tables with two chairs on each side, which could easily be put together if everyone wants to play. Off of the dining area was a kitchen where beautiful, green and white haired women worked constantly, making sure dinner was ready.
"This is all so incredible!" He gasped, looking around in shock. "I'm sure I don't have enough money for all of this."
"Your home and board is free if you study here," she explained. "If the administrators put you in this one, you must be something special. Also, there's a bit more. You haven't seen the rooms yet."
"I can imagine those are as beautiful," Mitch beamed excitedly as his smile refused to leave his face.
"Well your room is completely empty right now," she shook her head, "but taking you shopping is part of your tour. We'll start with paint shopping, grab some lunch, and then go furniture shopping. Then, I will take you to buy some new clothes. It's my job to help you feel at home, so that's what I plan to do."
"Sounds great," Mitch smiled, the two of them leaving to go to the mall.~*****~"So how much longer until my room is ready?" Mitch asked as they watched Edward Scissorhands, eating Chipotle and drinking their Starbucks.
"It'll be about an hour," she answered, taking another bite. "I'd introduce you to the other people in this house, but they're all in classes right now."
"Why aren't you in classes?" He asked curiously, not even paying attention to the movie at that point.
"I am two months ahead in my classes," she shrugged, "so I sit here, practicing my lines for a musical I am in. Musicals are a great stress reliever. This show is already in rehearsal stage, but I'll get you in the auditions of the next one if you'd like."
"Oh I don't sing," he shook his head with a deep blush. "I am extremely insecure about my singing... And I don't know why I'm telling you, I never open up to anyone."
"I understand feeling like you can't trust anyone," she admitted. "I have been betrayed for years, so I get it. You can trust me, though. I am the most trustworthy person you'll ever meet. I am sure you're not as bad as you think you are."
"Thanks b..." is all Mitch could get out before the most beautiful blond haired man walked in the door, looking sexy in professional clothes and some eyeglasses."Who is that?" Mitch asked curiously, unable to take his eyes off of the man.
"That's my cousin, Scott," she smirked knowingly. "He is a business major, and yes, he's single. Has been for a few years now. Scotty! Come over here and meet your new roommate!"
"Oh you're Mitch!" Scott smiled widely. "I have heard so many great things about you. I cannot wait for us to become fast friends. Your room is next to mine. How much longer until he gets to go into his room?"
"It's about thirty minutes for now," she responded, tapping the bag in front of them. "I got you some Chipotle and a caramel macchiato until then. By the way, I can't go into male quarters, so Scotty will be the one showing you to your room, and then we'll meet in my coed room at the very end of the hall."
"I feel like I'm going to love it here," Mitch sighed, the three of them enjoying lunch and a movie as they waited for the right away.
