During supper, he met Connor and Michael Stealer, Sophia's sister, Becca, and the amazing Alex that he heard about. They were all just as welcoming and quickly added him to their band of misfits. He found out that marijuana was a favored drug amongst all of them and listened in because he had always been curious about it, but never had the balls to actually do it. He just listened in on their dinner table conversations and joined in when he felt the need to. When dinner was over, he sadly walked back to his bedroom, changing into an over sized sweater and briefs as his bottoms. He washed off the subtle makeup he had on and put on mask, finishing up his Creative Writing and Lyric Writing entry paper.
When he finished his papers, he rinsed off the mask before spraying in some try shampoo, his hair curling up like it normally did. He sighed and hid it with the last beanie his father bought him, going over to his piano. He pulled out the music he had been working on, and picked up on the second verse, trying to solve the piano chords before even thinking about giving it words. He soon found the perfect piano chords for the verse then started on the lyrics, singing it out everytime he found a new line. Then he added in another chorus and started working on the bridge. As he finished the song he was working on, he heard something behind him, making him jump and turn around. As he did, water from nowhere came from behind him and drenched the blond that had scared him.
"I'm really sorry for startling you," the man shivered, Mitch instantly feeling bad though he didn't know if he did anything wrong. "I knocked and you didn't answer. I was just coming in to tell you that we're all watching a few Disney movies if you wanna join. Then I heard you working on that song and I just couldn't help but stop and listen to your voice. It's one of the prettiest things I have ever heard."
"Oh I'm not that good," Mitch shook his head, writing down the last few lyrics down in his notebook. "It's just a hobby of mine, honestly. I'm more interested in being a songwriter instead of a singer."
"You're lying to yourself, yano?" Scott complimented silently, going to sit next to the younger man. "That voice of yours is a lot better than most of these musicians that come here. You could really do something with it."
"Maybe someday..." Mitch mumbled under his breath hoping to change the subject. "As much as I would love to come with you to watch movies, I am not really in the mood to be social. I am just going to stay to myself for now, because I... I have too much to do."
"I understand wanting to be alone," Scott nodded, his face full of understanding. "If you change your mind, we're in Sophia's coed room, and if you need anything, just give me a call. That's all you need to do."
"Thanks, Scotty," Mitch faked a smile, Scott hesitantly leaving the younger man alone in his thoughts and memories.

Mitch ran home from his job as a waiter at a local diner, excited by what he had just read in his emails. He had found out that the school his father told him to apply for accepted him, and he couldn't be more excited to tell him. He would be leaving in a week to make it there in time for his first day, and he was excited that his father was going to be extremely proud of him, as it was a very lowkey school that not many knew of. He stopped by a Starbucks to grab himself a drink before running the rest of the way home. He was expecting for his father to be in his favorite recliner, but when he stepped into the door, the room was empty, Mitch instantly knowing something was wrong."Mitchell?" he heard his Aunt Maria call out, him turning around to see her tear stained face. "We have to go now."
"Just tell me what happened," Mitch sighed, knowing the news would break him more than he was already broken.
"When I arrived to take care of him, he was completely unconscious," she explained, trying to keep her composure. "I couldn't even find a pulse and I panicked but still called 911. They were able to revive him, but they don't know how long he has left. He's not doing well, so I came back to bring you to the hospital."
"Oh... Thanks..." Mitch smiled weakly, the two of them going to the hospital where his ex wife was visiting.
"What are you two doing here?" she spat, Mitch looking at Maria with a confused look on his face.
"I am here to visit MY brother," Maria shrugged, pointing at Mitch, "and he is visiting his father. We are allowed to do that. Why do you even hate me so much?"
"You talked Mike into leaving me!" she snapped, Mitch cowering behind his aunt. "It's your fault that he stopped loving me."
"He stopped loving you because you slept with his best friend," Maria corrected. "I only comforted him through everything that happened at that time. Just face it, Candy. It's your fault and you need to stop blaming others for your mistakes. If you're here to get the money you're supposed to, you lost it once you signed the divorce papers. Now it all goes to me, my brother, and my nephew. Most of it goes to Mitch because that's what it says in his will."
"You asshole!" Candy went crazy, running and attacking Mitch, attempting to choke him to death. Within seconds, officers were in to rip her off of him.
"A-are you okay?" a terrified Mitch heard his father whisper, him walking over to him.
"I am okay now..." Mitch lied, trying to make the dying man feel better. "I got accepted into Olympus U, Dad. I did it!"
"I am so proud of you," Mike smiled, patting his son on the leg. "I won't last to see you off, but I want you to know that I want you to keep going no matter what. I want you to make a living for yourself because you deserve it. Promise me that you'll go no matter what happens, Son."
"I promise," Mitch reassured, them sitting there in silence. Three days later, Mike died in his sleep, holding onto his only son.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The flashback burned in Mitch's mind, and soon the anxiety crept in and took over the poor man's body. The usual burning in his chest left him shaking and gasping for air the way he did when that strange woman tried to choke him to death. He collapsed to the floor, and his body started shaking, leaving him in no control of his body. He screamed and cried for help but his mind made him believe know one could hear him. Before everything went dark, he felt strong arms wrap around his body and a males voice singing in hopes of soothing him.
