By the shore, I sat with an old song playing in my heart that is now very tired.

But the song stopped.

And then, I heard the waves whisper. The winds had carried the bits of a secret shared between the waves and the rocks.
.
"Every time I come to you, I break you, just a little."
.
By the shore, I sat with a thought that was now lingering in my mind. What must have the rocks replied?

And I knew, waves are what I feel every day, what draws me here to the beach. Love. I feel it — and when it comes to me, I am hurt, just a little. It breaks me. Just a little.

And I hear myself whisper: "Take it easy. It would be a dull life if you weren't hurting."
.
And then I knew what the rocks had to say to the waves: "Take it easy. It wouldn't be love if it weren't hurting."
