"Getting in at half eleven wasn't smart was is?" Nana Sharon says smugly, as I pick at the toast and coffee in front if me. I grunt in reply an lay my head on the table, attempting to grab a few more minutes sleep.

"Miss Stevenson? The car is ready!" I groan and roll off the chair, landing with a thud on the floor.

"Crap!" I yelp, rubbing my knees. The hard marble tiles were going to leave a dent. I get up and give Nana Sharon a weak smile.

"You'll be fine, now hurry up and go to school," she kisses me on the cheek and I jog out the door. Grabbing my bag on the way.

I had to drive myself to school today, apparently I was supposed to know the way after Willis drove the day before but I had been to busy worrying about school to pay attention. So Granddad James had set up the sat nav to direct me in case I got lost.

I slide in the leather seat and buckle up, smiling at Willis.

"See you later!" I yell and push on the accelerator, I zoom off down the drive. Slowing down as I hit the road.

The drive is easy and I make it to school with a few minutes to spare, I climb out and put a pair of Ray-Bans Granddad James had got me on. I smile as Izzi and Rachel walk over. They gawk at my car.

"You're so lucky Janu!" Izzi giggles, I raise an eyebrow.

"Janu?" I question, she giggles again and gives me a hug.

"Jan is such a boring name! And seeing as you don't like your real name I thought 'I'll call you Janu!" She giggles yet again and Rachel rolls her eyes.

"She's been dying to say that all morning," I laugh and walk with them into the building. I checked my time table and frowned, I had English first.

"Wow! You're in Higher Level English? Like no juniors get into that!" Rachel says, smirking. Izzi groans.

"Just cause you were begging Miss Halestone to let you in this year," Rachel glares and flicks her hair, clearly annoyed.

"Whatever, I'm going to Religious Studies, you coming?" She questions Izzi who nods, following meekly behind her. I laugh at the two of them and try to find my classroom.

I get to the right classroom only a minute after the bell, which is surprising as I had no idea where I was going. When I get the teacher smiles at me.

"I'm Miss Halestone Jan. Now I know this is a senior class so you can be partnered with the only other junior here!" She grins and motions to the back of the room. I turn and my jaw physically drops.

There, sat next to an empty seat is Brooke, he looks up and smirks at me. I blush an know my face is bright red. A beacon to everyone of how uncomfortable I am. I shuffle over anyway and sit in the corner of my seat, as far away from his as possible.

"I don't bite," he whispers, winking at me. I freeze and feel the red creeping back, was he flirting?

"You didn't seem shy yesterday," he says, sighing in his seat. I roll my eyes, ignoring his comment.

The lesson drags on, I struggle to keep up and understand the senior level stuff. I feel a tap on the desk and see Brooke has written a note.

Hot accent btw;)

I smirk this time and scribble a reply, sliding the paper back.

Playing the obvious game I see?

I hear him laugh and hear the pencil on the paper, but before he slides it back the bell goes and he literally sprints out the classroom. I stare at the place where he was sat milliseconds before and frown.

I hear someone call me name and sigh, I turn to see a pile of bright pink hair and big square glasses charging towards me.

"January right? I work for the school newspaper an I would love an interview!" She grins, she looked about 11.

"Why would you want to interview me?" I ask, suspicious to her reasons.

"Because we've never had anyone here who met the queen!" She squeals, I laugh and shakes my head.

"I'm sorry but I've never even seen the queen in person, let alone met her," I feel like I'm telling some 5 year old that Santa isn't real. Her smile fades and she frowns, she breathes out then walks away.

I frown again and walk to my locker, I open it and out falls a slip of paper, I see it was the sheet me and Brooke had been talking on.

Hot accent btw;)

Playing the obvious game I see?

Underneath was another line, I struggle to read the bad had writing.

I know much more fun games to play;)
