Tom Delancy was a young man at the age of 17. He lived in southern Illinois. His home was not the best place to be....ever. School had just gotten out and he had to walk home to his drunken father. The sun was bright on his light green eyes and his sandy blonde hair was not making matters better. It was in his face and wouldn't stay out. He eventual pulled out his grey beanie and used it to keep the hair out of his face and eyes. As he reached home he popped in his earbuds and turned on his favorite song.

Here's to being human
All the pain and suffering
There's beauty in the bleeding
At least you feel somethingI wish I knew what it was like
To care enough to carry on
I wish I knew what it was like
To find a place where I belong, butI am machine
I never sleep
I keep my eyes wide open
I am machine
A part of me
Wishes I could just feel something
I am machine
I never sleep
Until I fix what's broken
I am machine
A part of me
Wishes I could just feel something

He arrived home quietly and began to walk to his room. He thought about the way things where. Before Mom died. Before Dad became an alcoholic. His thought where interrupted by a hard object colliding with his skull.
