"Peter Parker, are you judging me?!" I giggle, shocked. "I happen to find Spider-Man very very attractive, even though I've never seen him in person. He so brave and funny, and I bet he's really hot under that suit."
"Seriously?!" Peter squeaked, turning bright red.
"Oh yeah, I may have a huge crush on him," I blushed. Peter and I stared at each other and then looked away going back to work. Why would I say that, he's going to think I'm such a stalker! But I'm definitely excited to maybe catch a glimpse of the friendly neighborhood superhero. After a while Peter and I start talking about school, turns out he's also going to Midtown School for Science and Technology. At least I won't be all alone.
"So why did you move to Queens," he asks after a couple minutes of silence.
"My mom died a couple of months ago," I explain as my eyes start to water, "Since she's buried here my dad and I decided to move from Sedona."
"I'm so sorry about your mom, I know how it feels," he said looking down. I was afraid to ask but my curiosity for the better of me. Peter explained how both of his parents died and how he lives with his Aunt May now, I honestly can't imagine how difficult that must be. We talk about happier subjects for a couple of hours until it's 6 o'clock.
"I've got to go now, but here's my number," he says, blushing slightly as he writes it on a sticky note. I wave goodbye to him and feel butterflies in my stomach as he grins goofily and walks out. I lie back on my comforter, grinning stupidly, before I skip to the kitchen.
"Why such a big smile," my dad asks as I serve myself some of his famous shrimp fettuccine alfredo. I hold back a giggle as I think about Peter.
"I think I made a really good friend today."
