A/N Here's the second chapter! I'm introducing a new character, which is Aria's sister Lucy. So her full name is Lucy Luce. Aria's nickname for Lucy is Luce, which is pronounced the same as you pronounce "loose". Their surname is pronounced "Loo-shay". So don't get confused.

Background information: Aria and her sister live in a three room rented apartment that consists of the bedroom, washroom and the cooking quarters. Therefore when they open the door it is their bedroom. Italics that are not POV statements are the character's thoughts!

"Lucy, the door please."

The girl quickly leapt off her bed and unlocked the door excitedly. Then she lowered her head to face the floor.

"Luce, what's wrong?"

"Uh, about the scholarship, I-I didn't get it," Lucy moved aside to let her sister enter, still keeping her head down. She waited with bated breath for her response as she closed the door.

"Never mind," Her sister dragged the last syllable. "I think I did something really wrong. Can I tell you?"

Lucy looked up.

"What the hell? Sis?"

Her sister's naturally straight chocolate brown hair hair was now lighter a couple of shades and in a neat waterfall braid running diagonally across her head. Her irises seemed larger just a little and what was most unbelievable was that she was wearing makeup; something that her sister vehemently disliked. Lucy swore she saw that pimple near her left brow this morning.

"You know the skyscraper you pass every morning to school?"

"Yeah? Explain yourself."

"I went there for an interview.. They selected me to be a daughter in law. So, about your scholarship, there are no worries."

"Sis, I was joking. I got the scholarship. What's the catch?" Lucy growled.

"I've got to.. uhm, stay with their family as an honoured guest," Aria bit her bottom lip. "I get to visit you only once a week."

"You're selling yourself, bitch! It's not worth it! I don't care; I'll quit studies now and work!"

"Lucy, listen," Aria said, "They offered us something else other than wealth that I cannot decline. I can't tell you now, so chill. Everything's going to turn out fine."

Lucy jumped into bed.

"Well, I'm tired. Goodnight."

She turned to face the wall. Her eyes felt warm and prickly. Then, she felt her sister sit on her bed.

"We can still text. If they don't allow, there will be some ass to whip. And congratulations, my beloved younger sister, for getting your scholarship."

She heard her sister get off. Dragging something with wheels, she headed towards the door and left.

Outside, she leaned against the door and allowed herself to slide down to a sitting position. Sounds of her soon to be university student sister crying her throat sore travelled through the door.

Standing up, with her luggage at her side, turned to face the door once more.

"Don't hate me," She whispered to the eye-hole.

Leaning on the parapet of the corridor, she looked into the distance. Her ride, a long and sleek black limousine, had come to fetch her.

She hugged her luggage case as she quickly went down the grimy staircase; her arms aching in protest. Putting down her luggage near the boot, the chauffeur got out.

The chauffeur had ash blond hair that looked windswept. His eyes were hidden by the pair of stylish sunglasses he kept on. He looked too young. And too handsome.

"Miss," He opened a door for her.

"Thank you."

After what she assumed that he did put her luggage in the boot, he got back in and started driving. The chauffeur didn't bother playing any music, resulting an awkward silence.

"How may I address you, sir?" Aria finally opened her mouth after a few minutes of unbearable torture.

"Miss Luce, feel free to address me as Dez."

"Hi Dez," She started. "Do you know what I'm in for?"

"Something fun, Miss Luce."

"Oh,"

"However, living in their mansion isn't as simple as you think, Miss Luce. It's horribly complicated," he continued, "Do look to your left, you can see the side view of the mansion."

She looked.

"Well, that's expected. Can you give me a brief on how the people are like living there?"

"The head of the family is an extreme workaholic that works her two sons to the bone. The elder son is quiet, boring person. Whereas the other is totally the opposite."

"Oh. Uhm, I have a question that I've wanted to ask since twenty minutes ago. Why are you working as a chauffeur? You seem too young."

The limousine stopped. Dez got out as if he didn't hear her.

"We've reached, Miss Luce." He opened the door and offered her his hand. "To answer your question, I would like to introduce myself properly. My name is Desmond Bentley."

What. The.

"Oh," Aria let her eyelids droop a little before smiling. "Nice to meet you, my name is Aria Luce."

"Nice to make your acquaintance."

Then he leaned over. And kissed her.
