'So the voice in my head- you- is my wolf?' I ask Orion. I've been talking to him for the past hour, trying to wrap my head around the whole Wolf situation. I told him about when I was young, and how I knew this would happen. And how I tried to avoid it. 'Precisely. Like roommates, that's all' he replies kindly. 'So... why are you... you know..Male?' I ask politely, not daring to offend him. He has been very patient with me, and if it weren't for the fact that he kinda creeps me about because he's in my head then maybe we could actually be friends. '*sigh* I do not know myself Arcturi poteris dea, wish to understand it even now, despite my continuous efforts and research' oh yeah, another thing:  Orion is insanely well-spoken... and extremely British. 'My dear Dea, I do not wish to offend, but we can't speak of this at this time. Because, well...' I can feel him signalling for me to look down but I don't need to; my clothes were shredded when I shifted so there's no doubt I am bare naked. "Shit" I mumble out loud this time. I've been sitting in this bathroom, like I said, alone with Orion since Luke was ran after the strange man in fear as he saw me begin to shift. It's a shame really, I'm pretty sure Orion would've loved to rip him to shreds. No doubt the strangers outside the door are still partying on, with a drunken Janice lolling in the booths like the 'cool mom' she thinks she is. 'Funny' i sigh exasperatedly as Orion continues to read my thoughts. 'Orion' I Hiss. 'I am sorry. But the Janice image was just too vivid for me to ignore' I hear him smile in my head and his happiness runs through my veins, making me grin myself. Stupid intellectual thing. 'Okay. Enough talking' he begins, his tone serious, 'We need to sort out your... situation'

I. Have the coolest wolf. Ever.

Orion is a huge fashionista; but I know what your thinking. And yes he's gay. As I walked into the party, a few sober strangers looked at the dress I wore inquisitively. With Orion's help, I had managed to piece together the shortest parts of my silky pink trousers (don't ask) and wrap them around my neck, then attach my frilly black top around my chest, finally finishing the dress off with the longest bits of my trousers as a dazzling pink skirt. It wasn't really my taste, but better walking out a cafe bathroom naked with no one coming out after you. A few people nod hello, some say happy birthday, but most ignore me as I make my way towards Janice. When I find her she's lounged across a booth as I predicted, stuffing a raisin cookie into her mouth like there is no Tomorow. And with her hangover, I'm sure there won't be. How do 44 year olds get so drunk? I stand on the table in my heels and shout, "Hey everyone! Party's over!" Loud groans are heard from the crowd, but eventually, they begin oozing out the door one by one, leaving the cafe in a total mess. The boss is going to love Janice for this, I'm sure.

But as I'm calling Janice a cab and walking home in the dark, a niggling feeling tells me that I'm not alone...

FLASHBACK
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Am i, or am I not the coolest boyfriend ever?" Luke purrs, tickling under my chin mercilessly, "I'm hot, smart and I have a wolf" My body goes rigid at the last word; Luke has been trying to convince me to shift ever since we became official, but he doesn't understand that I'm scared. When I turned 13, my mother told me that I was special one night, when I felt really ill. Orion had appeared then, too, only he was much younger. My body was burning like it did before I shifted, and my mother told me exactly what was happening; I was becoming a were. But she also told me I would be in mortal danger, and she couldn't help me. So I held off. I pushed back Orion and decided to live my life dully, making sure nothing extreme ever happened. No extreme happiness, no extreme anger. No extreme fear. But when Luke attacked me... all of that went out the window. I knew what  he was capable of. "Luke we've talked about this. Not tonight"
I sigh, rolling over. "Aww why?" He whines into my ear, stroking my arm softly, "I'm desperate."
"Because, Luke" I begin, "I don't want to"
"But you're sixteen!"
"Luke! I'm not comfortable with this. I'll never shift!"
All of a sudden Luke jumps up and out of the bed. "How selfish!" I stare at him wide eyed. What does he mean selfish? "Luke?" I try again, "Luke are-"
"If you won't shift... I'll make you. I'll scare you into shifting... YES. THAT WILL WORK"
"Luke! What are you- AHH!" before I can finish Luke is lunging for me, clawing at my throat. I try to throw punches at his face but I only land one and he doesn't even wince. He's much too strong for me and is pressing his angry, rock hard body down onto mine, blocking any escape. Luke is whispering, "mate" into my ear over and over again, and I think to myself that if he means what I think he does... then I am not losing it to him. He has my hands held above my head, wrapped in his fist. His other is scratching my face maliciously. Suddenly, his eyes light up wickedly, and his free hand reaches down for his belt. While he's distracted, I subtly free my left leg. Then, when he drops his trousers and underpants, I shove my knee into his crotch violently. It all happens so quickly that my head starts to reel, but the fear still lingers in my heart as I sprint out the door. "I'll come for you!" He shouts furiously and in agony after me, but I'm already thinking about what to pack in my bag, all set to leave town.
FLASHBACK ENDED
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The horrifying flashback gives me shivers as I walk down the empty, black streets. To this day I don't understand what made Luke act the way he did, so desperate... so hostile. I don't know his motive; but what ever it was, was clearly not good. Which makes me glad I'm away from that monster. For now, anyway. 'Dea?' Orion asks me gently, snapping me back to the present. 'Hmm?'  I reply nonchalantly. 'What if... Luke knows where you live? I mean, he managed to find the place of your favourite cafe. If he's in town then... who knows what he could find?'  Orion's words send chills running through my bones and suddenly my walk becomes very stiff, as though my legs are made out of unbreakable lead. Orion senses my fear and begins to wonder silently in the back of mind, choosing not to say anymore. But he's right; we need to leave. We cant stay here. Not even if he stays in town. It still risks the chance of us being alone somewhere with him... where no one can hear me scream. Where no one can hear my cries for help as he finishes what he started... 'Orion. We need to leave' I say swiftly, quickening my pace. 'Right.' He adds quietly, and slowly but surely starts to come up with a plan. Orion is still thinking, as I unlock the keys to my door. And he's still thinking, unaware, as I open it and see a dark figure stood in front of the window.

I've never been voted before, and the views in this story, never mind how little, are going up a lot quicker than my previous stories that I've been writing for weeks. And that is just amazing! I'm so proud of what I've written and I just want you all to know that you're all amazing and beautiful people. So thank you! X
