"Come on Buffy! Why won't you come out of your room!" Yelled my sister Amanda through the door. "I don't want to..." I whined. "You have not left this room in FIVE DAYS!"
"I was sick!"
"You don't go to the spoon with Andi, Cyrus, and Jonah anymore!"
"I just don't wanna go outside."
"Why not?"
"Because I feel like trash and whenever I go outside I feel like trash but the days I actually have some confidence and I'm like: 'Hey! I look cute today!' but then I go outside and see my reflection in a display window, realize my existence is a mistake and then on top of that I see this really good looking girl walking past me and then I wanna hide under a rock!" I explained. "And now Marty asked me to be his girlfriend and I turned him down because I didn't think he would actually like me and now I feel like such a jerk because I kinda liked him back..."
I buried my face in my hands because I knew what my mistake was and now it might be too late to fix it. I can't just go up to Marty and be like: 'Yeah so, remember how I sorta broke your heart into a million pieces? Yeah well I changed my mind and now I think we should be a couple!'
So what is the most rational solution? Lock myself up in my room listening to Halsey and flashbacking to when me and Marty were on the bridge. "You can't avoid this forever." Said Amanda. She was right enough is enough.
