The warm water from the shower runs down my body soothing the aches. I run my hands through my hair making sure the shampoo is scrubbed in thoroughly enough as I run through the plan in my head.

Eric will want to talk to me so I need to seem tired, cautious, and nervous at the same time. I'm a distressed girl he just saved, who wasn't able to protect herself and who can't get over that she just watched someone die.

I go over my plan again and again as I dry off and slip into the soft sweater dress. I run my hand through the condensation on the mirror and get a look at my face, it's still a little red from my crying and my eyes are a little puffy. Perfect.

I run my hands through my hair as best I can, trying to untangle the knots. When most of them are out I try my best to dry my hair with the towel a little more, and then let the rest air dry. I take one last look at myself in the mirror before leaving the bathroom, to find the bedroom empty.

I wait a few minutes before exiting the quiet room into an even quieter hallway. I try my best to step quietly down the stairs back down into the entryway. There are four doors and I feel as if I'm in an Alice in Wonderland movie. I'm about to choose the one to the right, the same one that we entered earlier but as I reach for the handle two men exit the 3rd door.

I recognize them both from the alley. One of the two holds the door for me and motions for me to enter the room. I enter in alone and flinch standing up a little straighter when I hear the door shut loudly behind me.

It's a large dimly lit room; it could almost pass as a man cave. The right side of the room was scattered with black and red leather chairs and couches and on the walls were a few huge flat screens TVs. A few poles, which I'm guessing were stripper poles, were also placed around the chairs and couches. And in the center of the room was a dark neon bar with an assortment of drinks all around the middle counter.

My eyes roamed thoroughly over the room trying to capture every detail, cause this may be the only time I'll get to see it. But my eyes stop abruptly when I reach the left side of the room.

An assortment of games scattered that side of the room, ping pong table, foosball table, air hockey table, and a few game machines. But what caught me off guard was an extremely sexy-looking Eric wearing an open button-down shirt that showcased his toned torso perfectly. He was smoking a cigarette while setting up a game of pool.

He takes the rack off the table and hangs it on the wall next to the other pool cues. He then sets his pool cue on the table and finally turns and looks up at me, leaning back on the edge of the table. He takes one more drag of his cigarette and holds it in for a bit. I watch as he finally decides to empty his lungs of the smoke, blowing out slowly, the light tendrils curling around his face. All the while his eyes never leave my own.

He took the cigarette out of his mouth, grounding it into the ashtray that sat on the edge of the pool table then began to walk towards me.

"How are you feeling?" He asks, his dark eyes searching my face.

"I'm just trying to wrap my head around all of this," I say as I wrap my arms around myself tightly while lowering my gaze to the floor, and nodding slightly.

"I understand this is probably a little confusing for you. I hate to put you in this position but the way I see it I only have two options on how to deal with this. You've seen too much, that much is certain," he says while letting out a sign as he continues to step towards me.

"Regularly I would 'take care of the problem, but killing you would just create more problems for me, and you're innocent so that's not really one of my favorite options," he speaks again this time coming to a stop mere inches from me.
