Sir Strakovski gave her her first mission and it was a success. Sir liked her performance that he gave her many more missions which were also a success. After six months, he promoted her as his right hand. When we had problems, we told her first. She was the one who was going to handle everything before telling Sir. When she became right hand, I didn’t think I would be promoted anymore because she became the new favorite.
During those six months, there was a certain change in Sir Strakovski. He killed less. He smiled more. He was less stern with us. Whenever I would go and barge in his office door, telling him news, he wasn’t irritated anymore. He even asked me how I was. He was kinder and more caring. It was unusual so I had the feeling that Veronica had something to do with it.
