It was a beautiful autumn morning. Early morning mist was slowly disappearing as the sun rose higher into the sky. The trees' red, orange, yellow, and brown leaves were falling off one by one as winter grew nearer. The temperature was also decreasing as a cool breeze filled the air.
Tullia stood out on the balcony enjoying the few. Everything was so peaceful. She could forget about the vote that would occur in three days, which would determine a lot of futures. She could simply breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the morning.
She had to make her way back to Monroe's room to assure that she was up and ready for the day. She also had to check on Monroe's breakfast. Tullia sighed and turned back inside.
She walked down the hall and was suddenly grabbed from behind. She gasped and turned around in the man's loose grip. She grinned when she saw the face of the assailant.
He pushed her up against the wall and smashed his lips into hers.
"Bash." She moaned and pushed him back. "What if we're seen?"
He kissed her cheek and smirked. "Then we are seen, I don't care anymore." Bash wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck.
"Bash..." Tullia pushes him off again. "We can't do this and you know that."
He sighed. "Why not?"
"I come from nothing. You are the son of a Lord, a noble. I am but a peasant." Tullia replied.
"No, you are a Lady in Waiting to the future queen of Thavalon and I am the future king's right hand man. I see nothing wrong with this. You aren't nothing, especially to me. And your station doesn't affect my feelings." Sebastian argued. "These secret meetings are not enough for me."
"Well, they are going to have to be, for now. As you said, future King and Queen. We will have to wait until at least after they are wed." Tullia walked away from Bash.
He quickly grabbed her arm and yanked her back. "Please, allow me the honor and the pleasure of having you come to my bed chamber." He begged.
Tullia bit her lip. "I'm not sure."
"I'll wait for you. If you come, I promise you won't regret it." Bash charmed her.
Tullia nodded and Sebastian released her arm. She smiled and she walked away from him with the blush color still on her cheeks.
They had been having secret meeting for a week now. Sebastian started it when she first caught his eye by sending her a note to meet in the sables. They have been meeting various different places everyday. Kissing didn't come into the equation until the day before and Bash revealed his true intentions to be more than friends.
Tullia enjoyed his company and found him to be very charming and handsome. She feared, however, that he only wanted her for a good night and then the relationship would end. She also didn't like that he was much higher in station than she and she could only offer herself. She feared how others might react.
Tullia walked into Monroe's room where Lady Rockford was preparing her for the day. Tullia set down Monroe's breakfast on the table.
"Good, I'm starved." Monroe smiled.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Tullia turned around and opened it.
Bash was standing there looking as perfect as ever. He smiled at her and nodded into the room to say that he was there to see Monroe. Tullia swallowed her nerves and turned around to let him in.
"Sebastian Orvar." Tullia announced and then stepped to the side.
Bash nodded his head to Monroe. "My lady, the Prince requests your presence." Bash said.
"What about?" She asked.
"Not sure. I am just delivering the message."
"Allow me to finish my breakfast and I will be on my way." Monroe answered.
Bash bowed his head again and left the room.
Monroe started to eat and noticed something different about her friend. "Tullia, you are blushing." She pointed out.
"Oh! Am I? I'm just a little warm." She touched her cheeks.
"Are you getting sick?" Monroe asked.
"No, I don't think so." Tullia smirked a little thinking of the real reason for her joy.
"Maybe a little love sick." Lady Rockford mumbled.
Monroe looked at Lady Rockford and then back at Tullia. Tullia glared at Lady Rockford and then looked at the floor. Monroe shrugged and continued to eat her breakfast.

Later that evening, after Tullia had finished her chores for the night and Monroe was in bed, Tullia returned to her chambers.
She was about to remove her clothing and prepare for her sleep when she remembered Bash's offer. She took a deep breath and left her room again. She wanted it that was all that mattered. Tullia liked Bash and liked the way that he made her feel. She had to trust that he was in this for more.
Tullia walked to his chambers and tried to avoid being seen by guards or servants. She knocked on the door to his room.
Bash swiftly opened the door and smiled when he saw her. Tullia giggled and jumped into his arms. Bash lifted her from under her thighs and Tullia wrapped her legs around his waist. He kicked the door closed and let their night of passion begin.
