The Caged Mind

Prologue

K.O. was asleep in his new bed that Carol had gotten him a few days ago.

She was sitting in a desk at the corner of her house. Carol sighed. How she missed her old life as a hero, where she could kick butt all the time without having to worry about other things.

She looked at a picture at the corner of her desk it was a group picture with her, El-Bow, Foxtail, Doctor Greyman, and Rippy Roo. Before she could start to break down in tears her phone started to ring.

"Hello?" Carol answered.

"Oh my cob it's Silver! Guys come over here!" A voice said

"Ummm.....Hello?" Carol tried again.

"Silver it's us remember?" An all too familiar voice begged.

"Oh my stars" she thought.

It was her old teammate from P.O.I.N.T.! How did she not reconize Foxtail's voice?

"Hey Carol can we ask you something?" Foxtail asked.

"Sure anything!" Carol responded.

"Can you come back to P.O.I.N.T.? We need you!" The fox hero said.

"Oh...." Carol responded.

"I'm sorry but I can't" she said.

"Why not?!" Three voices screamed.

Carol took a deep breath in this was going to be the time that she finally told her old team that she had a baby.

"Ok you guys aren't going to believe this, but before I left the team..." She paused, was this really the right time to tell them?

With all of her willpower she finally gathered the courage to tell them.

"I was pregnant." Carol whispered.

She heard three gasps through the phone.

"Who's the dad?" Greyman asked.

She froze but decided to tell them.

"Lazer" she let out.

"Oh" her team responded remembering the fateful mission with his death.

"Bye guys" Carol whispered and pressed the red end button.

She looked back at her son. He was sleeping soundly with a few flinches here and there. She smiled and went back to the random paper work she had on her desk.

In K.O.'s subconscious...

K.O. woke up in a dark place he didn't necessarily like.

"Hi!" K.O. heard someone yell.

He swerved around and found someone that looked exactly like him! The other person only had one main difference though, he had plain purple wristbands on his wrists.

"Wh-who are you" K.O. asked

"I'm T.K.O.!" The other boy chirped.

K.O. was confused but he stood giving a blank emotionless stare to him.

Suddenly he had a dark and cruel instinct curl up inside him and K.O. followed it.

"Go!" K.O. barked pointing to something behind T.K.O..

"Wh-what?" The little alter ego asked nervously.

"I said... GO!" K.O. screamed pointing behind him again.

T.K.O. looked behind himself and saw a really large crib like enclosure, that was what K.O. was pointing to. He looked back at his other half with eyes of pure sadness. K.O. still had this instinct to follow and he wouldn't rest until it was completed.

K.O. walked up to his alter ego and did the unthinkable.... He pushed T.K.O. back towards the cage!

T.K.O. was furious but didn't know what to do about it. He was new to all feelings to be honest. Although this one he didn't like.... Not one bit.

"Maybe doing what K.O. wants me to do will make this feeling go away." T.K.O. thought.

With even sadder eyes T.K.O. slowly inched toward the cage. He gave one last look of hope to K.O., only to be met by eyes of determination and hate. He looked back at the cage and walked inside.

The cage door closed and then T.K.O. noticed that this was the wrong choice. He should've fought K.O. because then he would've had a chance to stay in the open and be free.

"NO!" T.K.O. screamed after he realized his mistake and let out all his rage.

K.O. gave a happy maniac smile at T.K.O. and dissapeared back into the real world.

T.K.O. looked at the ceiling of the new enclosed cage and sighed he knew something for sure. He wasn't gonna see K.O. for a long time.

Back in the real world...

K.O. started to wake up from his subconscious. He looked up at his mom and completely forgot about the interaction.

"Oh peanut you're awake!" Carol said.

K.O. nodded his head. Carol picked up her son and started to play with him. Little did they know this day could change history forever.....

Hello this is the new story I'm writing I hope you like all the plot twists and character development in this book. <3 So apparently K.O. is an evil bean all of a sudden... So unlike him..... This stoy will mostly through T.K.O.'s eyes and how he sees the world. Hope you like my story......
