<New York>
"Another one?" Smiling slightly, I stared at Malcolm, who had a bored expression on his face.
"Does Mister Stark ever get bored?" He groaned, setting down the new bash of roses Tony sent.
"Apparently not." Chuckling, I turned around to see Malcolm rolling his eyes with a slight smile on his face.
"Oh...Miss Potts is here to see you..." Keeping his gaze on the ground, he started tapping his feet awkwardly.
"Pepper?" I paused, tilting my head in confusion. "What's she doing here?"
"I don't know. Should I send her in?"
Nodding in response, my brain wouldn't stop thinking about what she had to say to me.
She opened the door, and walked in like she owned the place, tapping her ridiculously expensive heels on the floor.
"Valentina." She mumbled, taking a seat on one of the chairs across me.
                              "Miss Potts." I answered professionally.
"Drop the formalities, Valentina. Please." She fake smiled at me, but once she got no response from me, she started looking around the room, her eyes landing on the roses Tony sent.
"Funny. He never bought me any flowers." She glared at me and that was enough for me to speak.
"What are you here for Miss Potts?"
"Let go of him." Leaning back on her chair, she studied my every action after the words she spoke.
"Excuse me?" Narrowing my eyes at the arrogant red-head, I had to physically force myself not to throw an insult at her.
"You heard me. Let. Go. Of. Him." She ordered and I chuckled humourlessly.
"I'm sorry, did I say something funny?" Glaring at me, she tapped her fingers impatiently on my office desk.
"I'm sorry I wasn't aware that you were the one making the decisions here." Sarcastically, I replied and watched as her face grew dark, and I was sure she was ready to hit me.
"You fu-" I interrupted her before she went any further.
"Ah ah ah. I'd watch my language if I were you, Potts. You're in my territory now, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to kick you out, and I wonder how the press would feel if they saw the almighty Pepper Potts getting kicked out of a building. It will be quite a story for the front page." Smirking at her reaction, I turned my attention from her to the papers on my desk, waiting to be signed.
"Good day, Miss Potts." I dismissed her, and watched her with hooded eyes as she grabbed her purse and stomped out, not failing to notice Wanda and Nat's faces before she walked out.
"Hey. When did you guys get here?"
"Right when you showed that wicked witch who's queen!" Jumping in excitement, Wanda fist bumped Nat, who had an impressed face.
"I actually feel bad...she's Tony's friend." Thinking about the consequences, I started to worry Tony would actually be upset that I spoke to her that way.
"Pffft...Please, that bitch deserved it." Wanda said, and my mouth hing open.
"Wanda!" I scolded her like a child and she just rolled her eyes, clearly annoyed that I was defending her when all she did was try to destroy my self-confidence and my friendship with Tony.
"It's true!" She defended and I gave up. She really was a bitch, but that didn't mean that I would say that out loud. She was still an important part of Tony's life, and I had to respect that.
