I Love my Best Friend

"Aubrey!" Mom yelled from downstairs. It was early October and fall was starting to begin. Monday morning was always slow.

"What!" I yelled back at my mom.

" You need to wake up and take a shower! Its Monday!"

"Ughhh. What time is it!"

"Its 5:56!"

"Mom how many times have i told you to wake me up at 6! Not anytime earlier!"

"Just wake up! Lets go!"

I sleepily walked downstairs with a towel and robe in my hand. I checked the clock and it was 5:59.

Once i finished taking a shower i did my hair. My hair always looked the same. It was brown and curly. Some people say it looks like mermaid hair but i disagree. I put moose in and blow dried my hair. I put a white headband in and then got dressed. I put on leggings with a t-shirt. I put on my black and white vans and then walked downstairs.

My mom was annoying as always. She kept trying to tell me what to do while she got my little annoying sister ready for school. I was about to leave before she told me I had to eat breakfast. I never eat breakfast and she knows that so idk why she insist I eat it now. I groaned and took an apple before I started walking to my car. I drove away from the hell hole my house is and stared driving to my best friends house.

I pulled up to her house and as always she was waiting outside. She got in the car and started blabbering on as always. She started talking about her new boyfriend Ryan. "CASS!" I said a little annoyed.

"What?" she asked

"Not to be rude but you have been talking about your boyfriend for the past week and its getting really annoying."

"Sorry." She said. "I forgot you don't like when I talk about having boyfriends."

After that she started blabbing on again about some other shit. Cassandra was my best friend. I called her Cass for short. Cass is the type of girl who gets every guy. She is basically perfect. She has straight long brown hair and gorgeous eyes. Shes pretty popular around Lincoln High. She had a boyfriend every other month. Everyone died to be her friend. She was always there for me though and I love her for that.

Over the summer I had a boyfriend.

Long story short Cass was the only one there for me. Ever since I have hated talking about boys. We dated for 3 years to find out that he was cheating on me. Now every boy that tries to reach I shut down.

We got to school and walked to our group. My group was the group everyone wanted to be a part of. It was me Cass and my other best friend Shailene. Shai for short. I was the sporty one. Cass was the girly one and Shai was basically the slut. She has slept with at least half the 11th grade. We met up with the guys and walked to our table we usually sat at before school started.

The guys in our group was Dylan, Tony, Tyler, and Brendan. They were all hot as fuck. They were all jacked. Every girl wanted one of them as a boyfriend. Dylan and Tyler were the athletes. Brendan was the sweet charming one. Tony was the bad boy of the group.

"Hey Aubrey." Dylan said as he sat down next me with a smirk on his face putting his arm around me.

"Hey Dylan." I said taking his arm off from around me.

"What was that for" he asked.

"You know Im still trying to get over my ex."

"I know I just thought it wouldn't hurt if I put my arm around you. We are best friends after all."

"Yeah I guess its alright then." Dylan put his arm back around me and I let it stay there. Dylan was my closest guy friend in the group. In fact he was my closest friend. We have been best friends since I moved here in sixth grade. He was basically my brother.
