Link x mute reader (Modern/Soulmate Au)

Ok so in this au when you write on your skin your soulmate gets it on their skin, and if they write on their skin it appears on you. Ok now that that's out of the way it's time to start the story. Btw this is in high school.

<~ Your p.o.v ~> (Yo this story is long af so be prepared)

I silently sighed to myself as I looked at the clock. Class was almost over, and it was Friday which meant only one thing. After school im gonna be staying at home while watching YouTube, drawing, and gaining 10 lbs. I never left home unless I absolutely needed to. And when I did leave I would have to carry a bag with a
pencil and notebook. If you're wondering why I have to do that it's because I'm mute. It means can't speak what so ever. So I'm forced to either write down what I want to say, or sign it to those that know sign language. I'm taken out of my thoughts when the bell rings. I quickly gather my things and right before we all leave our teacher stops us. "Ok kids i'll fill you in more tomorrow, but we're having a group project and all members of the group will have to present. Then he looks straight at me, "except (Y/n) for obvious reasons. So I expect that best from all of you." Once again I sigh silently because I hated being treated differently because of my disability. Even the teachers would pick on me for being mute. Especially my math teacher, she was a full on b*tch. She would always call on me and then afterwards laugh and say, "oh I'm sorry I forgot you can't talk." But still math was my favorite class for one reason, and one reason only. Link.

He was a handsome *cough* hot *cough* dude in my class that always hung out with the most popular girl in school. Zelda who also happened to be in my math class. Even the other students would call her "Princess Zelda". I always hated her. She would shove me in the hallway and talk trash about me and my life. But I couldn't stop her so I eventually just gave up and let her do what she wants. I got on the bus to head home when my mother sent me a text.

"Good I just did the same thing like always.

mom~> Oh well I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me and dad.

"I'm good I have a lot of homework to do."

mom~> Ok well we'll probably be gone by the time you get home, so we'll see you later.

"Ok have fun."

mom~> Ok well goodbye

"Bye"

I closed the conversation and went to my music. I put on my head phone and started listening to Dear Evan Hansen. Waving through a window had just finished when I pulled up to my house. I got off the bus and walked in. I went to my room and fell backwards on my bed. I once again silently sighed for what seems like the 100th time today. "God how much longer until this school year is over?" I thought to myself. "Well instead of doing math homework, why don't I just procrastinate and do something random and stupid?" I went over to my drawer and pulled out a sharpie pen. I started drawing random thing like squiggles, dots, and names of random people. While I was in the middle of my amazing and very artistic stick man something appeared on my arm under all of my previous work. It was a blue colored pen and it was magically writing a sentence. (Other person is in bold, your normal text)

"Hello? What's going on? Is this normal?"

I stared at my arm in surprise. Now i've read online that when you draw on your arm your soulmate had the same thing appear on their arm. I didn't really believe in that kind of stuff, but now i don't know what I should believe in.
