"Isn't there a house somewhere? I really have to go to the bathroom." Lauren asks me.
"You were in the bathroom the whole flight here! How did you not think to use the restroom!?" I say back to her while everyone else is discussing what they want to do.
"I didn't want to make it seem suspicious. You know, the toilet just randomly flushing by itself." She rolls her eyes at me.
"Hey, it's not my fault I don't think like you."
"Well it is your fault you're dumb."
"Hey there! Who's the one who got you a trip on the 8th grade class trip when you're in 7th grade, may I add!"
"Whatever, but really where's the house?" She dismisses our conversation right then and there.
"Ummm, I'm not quite sure." I say getting ready to ask the rest of my class.
"Well why don't you ask?" Lauren says sarcastically.
"I was getting ready to do that you dim-wit."
"Hey!"
I just stuck my tongue out at her and asked the others if we could start heading to the house.
"Why don't we go put our bags away and then we can do something?" Asks Rachel.
Everyone nods, seeming to agree with that.
"Okay. Anyone know where the house is?" I ask since I didn't really listen to Mrs. Ashter telling us where everything was.
"Yeah it's towards the middle of the island." Makenzie says while leading the way.
We follow Makenzie in the direction of where she thinks the house is, until I realize that we don't have the keys.
"Guys." I say. "Mrs. Ashter has the keys."
Everyone stops and looks at me.
"So? No one cares about Mrs. Ashter." Gage says. Can't you see how caring he is? Note the sarcasm in that last sentence.
"We can't get into the house without the keys." I say in a duh tone.
"Whatever mom." He mumbles under his breathe while saying some not so nice words.
I just roll my eyes while mentally throwing some not so nice words right back at him.
"Well what are we suppose to do now if we don't have the keys?" Lizzie asks.
"Why don't we try to find Mrs. Ashter? I mean she has to be somewhere." Makenzie mentions.
"I think she went that way." Darrell says pointing to the right of where we were originally going.
"Okay well I guess we find Mrs. Ashter and then go to the house." Caroline says.
We all nod in agreement and start to figure out what to do with all our bags.
Lauren turns to me with wide eyes. "But I have to pee!" She squeals.
"Go pee behind that gosh dang tree then! We aren't going to be going anywhere anytime soon, my class can never make a class decision." I reply while rolling my eyes and pointing to a tree that looks pee-able on.
