Alice's pov: I wake up with a throbbing head ache.
I look around and I'm in the hospital..

What happened..?

The nurse notices I'm awake and comes up to me.
"hello, looks like you've woken up. "She says in. Scottish accent.
she gives me a soft smile which makes me feel safe.
"what happened..? "
I ask in and out of sleep.

"you passed out I'm afraid, so Mr.Maxwell brought you in. You are as you say 15 pound under weight! Have you been eating okay?"

"Oh no... I haven't been taking care of myself.. I'm so sorry.."

the nurse shakes her head in disappointment.

  "I'm afraid I insist on you staying here least 3-5 days.
you need to gain some pounds, you need iron infusions too.. your level is at a 5 that's very dangerous Alice.
I'm going to go ahead and Inform your loved ones.
you rest up I'm a call away if needed don't be shy dear."

I sigh as the nurse leaves... I look at my surrounds and see a piece of paper on the table next to me.
is this Chris's number..?
I get my phone and text the number

Alice: hello.. it's Alice I wanted to say that I'm so sorry for fainting like that... I'm already causing you too many problems I wouldn't be shocked if you fired me.

Chris: Alice,I'm not going to fire you. take it easy and EAT. and if you need anything please don't be scared to call I don't care what time it is, I'll be there.

Alice: thank you so much... if it's not too much to ask can you bring my labtop from work also my books? Thank you so much again

Once the conversation ends I save his contact info right away.

Alice's pov: I lay down bored flickering though channels.
I can't find anything good on so I just watch some bluey.
I guess this is a cute show I laugh slightly at the show

not even noticing Chris.

Chris pov: I grab her labtop.
I wonder..
I open her labtop and...
"ddlg..."
is she really into all this..
or is she trying to figure me out?
we'll just have to see.

While I'm here...

I go on her Amazon's wishlist and order everything for her.

I just want this girl happy...

I grab her books and laptop.

I get in the car and make my way to the hospital.

I go to the front desk, the nurse asks me who I'm here for and I tell her who I'm here for even though she knows who I'm here for.
I can see all the other nurses giving me googly eyes in the back it doesn't surprise me.

This is very annoying to me.

Alice mercers.
I say her name as if she were mine.

The nurse takes me to the room and leaves.

I peek through the door seeing the color back in her face as she laughs at the cartoons on the tv.
Damn.... she's adorable.
I walk in.

"Hello. "

She stops laughing.
She instantly blushes as she turns off the tv.

Alice pov:
I turn off the tv fast blushing as I struggle to say anything.
"H-Hi.. thank you... for bringing my thingys.

"Hah..."
Nice one dork. My tiny voice scolds me.

"it's no problem." He reassures.

He sets my stuff next to me and walks toward the door

"wait! Are you busy..? At all..? "
I ask shyly.

I hate being alone and specially when I'm vulnerable..I think to myself.

"no I'm not."

I know she wants company.
I pull up a chair and sit next to her before she even has to ask.

"... thank you again.. "I say as I hold his hand.

the nurse comes in with some chicken soup.

I look at it weirdly not wanting to eat hospital food.
I've heard hospital food is the worst.

The nurse is already not having it.

"you need to eat this entire bowl with crackers. "
She sets it down and leaves.

I look over at Chris, he's giving me a stern look.

Chris pov:
I see her giving that soup the stink eye.
Im picky myself but it's not a bad soup.
Its the generic Campbell's chicken soup, can't go wrong with that.

"Alice you need to eat that you know. "I look at her.

"but... I really don't want to.. it's bleh.. ewww... ya know"

"Alice you need to. "
I give her a stern look, but instantly stop as I see her tearing up a bit.

"Alice... here how about this"
I quickly run to the front desk and get gold fish crackers.

"look look! Hey don't cry.. look.. aren't these so cute Alice? Don't they look yummy? "

am I going into daddy mode...?
I think to myself.

But.. I can't help it.
I want her.
I need to take care of her she is incapable of taking care of herself and it shows.

"those are cute... "
she stops sniffling

I would seriously do anything to stop her from crying..

"Here let's put these in your soup instead of those boring ole crackers."
I put the fish shaped crackers in her soup.
She instantly smiles as she takes a spoon full.
looks like I did good.
I'm so happy to see her smile.

A little yawn comes outta her mouth as she finishes the soup.
I wipe the corner of her mouth as she closes her eyes and falls asleep.
I kiss her forehead as I hold her hand to sleep. wow... she's... precious.."
