I believe it's been a long time yea?

Narrator: It's the early morning, shall we look at the Byun family?

Baekhyun was busying himself in front of the mirror as he adjusted his collar and sleeves. He combed his hair down as he ruffles it a little.

At that moment, Taeyeon entered the room from the bathroom to see her husband dressed in all black. She knew it was a sad day.

Kai's father had passed away four days ago, and the EXO members are going to pay their respects.

"Is Jongin okay?" Taeyeon knew it wasn't exactly the right choice to ask that question because obviously, who would be okay when they just lost a loved one?

"He's coping well. His father was his role model. I'll go and accompany him, probably won't come home early, most likely tomorrow." Baekhyun sighed as he looked at his wife from the mirror.

"Should I go to? Krystal's probably not in a good condition too. Or you can ask her to send her kids here and I'll take care of them." Taeyeon offered.

"No.. It'll be hard for you. I know Taejoon's tough enough to be managed as a young toddler." Baekhyun furrowed his eyebrows.

"At least Taejoon has playmates or he'll be bored and be cheeky, especially when Jack's around. He'll come up with sorts of things and get Jack to be his accomplice."

"You can ask Krystal then. And are you suggesting we have a second child?" Baekhyun raised an eyebrow as he embraced her in his arms.

Taeyeon immediately flushed at the thought of *cough* and snuggled her face into his chest.

Well it's been a long time...

After standing for awhile in that position, they heard a whine coming from Taejoon.

"You should get going, you don't wanna be late do you?" Taeyeon ushered Baekhyun out of the room before going to bring their son out.

Jack wagged his tail happily, he had gotten a little quieter as he grew older. He was now twice the size of when they just brought him home.

Baekhyun slipped on his shoes and made a run for the elevator. Taeyeon just waved and sent a flying kiss in his direction, Taejoon doing the same. Taejoon rested his head on his mother's shoulder.

"Are you hungry? What shall we eat today?"

Krystal was glad that someone was willing to take care of her two children, thanking Taeyeon before rushing back to the venue of the wake.

"Okay! Shall we go to the playground before we have lunch?" Taeyeon announced as she clapped her hands.

"Yay!!!" The two toddlers cheered. The youngest just stared into blank space, feeling lost. The youngest was only 8 months old and had a lot to say, especially to Taeyeon. He would speak with so many expressions -raising his eyebrows is his favourite-
in his own language and it was honestly difficult for her to follow up.

"Now I want you to be good kids and I'll go change my clothes you better behave!" She said sternly before bringing Jaebin into the bedroom with her so she could keep an eye on him.

Soo In sat at Taejoon's train set and watched the trains peacefully until Taejoon decided it was boring and went to disturb her, poking her and blocking her from looking at his trains.

Soo In looked down with a crestfallen face as she was upset. She simply stood up and went to watch the cartoon showing on TV. She was quiet the throughout the whole show.

"Noon..!" Taejoon tried to called out to Soo In but she again simply ignored and watched TV. "Noonm tibidadhf!" Soo In stared at Taejoon in annoyance. "Taejoon. Noona is watching. Shhh." Soo In had a little lisp as she was not very good at speaking yet.

Taeyeon came out from the bedroom after getting changed and from the expression on Soo In's face she knew Taejoon had irritated her.

"Byun Tae Joon. Time out." Taejoon didn't know what it meant so he nonchalantly turned around, his back facing his mother and played with Jack, giggling loudly. Time out was something he had never heard of in the 18 months of his life.

Taeyeon picked him up and placed him in a corner of the living room. When he wanted to turn around she turned him back to face the wall.

"This is what you call time out. If you misbehave you'll be put here. Don't try to move, young mister." Taeyeon walked back to the room to see Jaebin sitting up and playing with himself. It made her think of having a second child.

She smiled as she carried Jaebin out and placed him beside Soo In who protectively placed an arm around her brother.

Taejoon fumbled his hands as he didn't understand why he had to face a blank wall. He then started having a conversation with the wall, in his own language of course, which puzzled Taeyeon. She began to worry- was her son lacking social interactions?

She bit her lip hard as she thought hard, until Jaebin started squirming and then let out a loud sob. Taeyeon picked him up to hush him and smelled poop.

"Aigoo! You just did some big business young man." She then asked Soo In to bring the diapers for her. She automatically went to the bag full of her brother's things and lugged it to the bedroom. Taejoon couldn't keep still and followed them. Taeyeon knew it was useless to scold him now since he doesn't understand. Embarrassing her son in front of Soo Inwasn't something she wants to do.

"Thank you Soo In!" Taeyeon gave her a sweet smile and began changing the soiled diaper that was causing so much discomfort for the baby.

Taejoon just stared with wide eyes. He then stood up and walked to the door, not really surprising her for he was the age to start walking.

"Aunt Taeyeon, I'm hungwry." Soo In pouted a little. Taeyeon couldn't help but stifle a laughter as she was seeing an exact copy of Jong In's pout when he tried to bargain for something when they had company gatherings.

"Go and join Taejoon. I'll quickly go make some snacks for you and then we'll go to playground, okay?"

"Okay!" She got off the bed and went to play with the toys sprawled over the floor.
