"You've gotta be shitting me...?" I said my voice raised slightly, not wanting to believe that he was cancelling on me.

Again.

"Baby you know I don't have a choice, you know what my job's like." his voice held no emotion, just simply stating the facts. I glared at my phone screen keeping my mouth shut.

No, actually I don't know what your job is like because you can't tell me anything about it!

"Dawn? Are you still there?"

"Yeah, I've gotta go to work though. I'll talk to you later Flynn."

"Alright sweetheart, drive safe." I hung up my phone and tossed it onto my comforter.

"Besame el culo..."(Kiss my ass)

There was a knock on my door, "¿Qué?"(What?) I called a bit harshly to one of my roommates on the other side to enter. The door opened slightly, Graham stood in my doorjamb a knowing look in his face.

"Don't look at me like that Graham. You know what he's like."

"Again?" When I didn't respond he walked over and sat down on my bed.

"You can do so much better than a guy who obviously doesn't know how amazing you are." I smiled. Graham was always looking out for me, always ready to protect me.

Graham and I had been friends for as long as I could remember. We grew up together. We were family. When he finished his last year of university he started renting an apartment with Pierce our other close friend, so they could have a place of their own. That way Graham could work on his music and Pierce could work on his architecture stuff. When I finished my photography program I ended up moving in with these two nut cases, I'm still not sure if that was a good idea or not.

Pierce and I had had an on again off again relationship for two years before I met Flynn. The two of us have remained close, which I know I have always been grateful for. Flynn and I had been together for a year now. When we first started dating he forgot to mention that his job would require him to move for the different placements he would have. Right now, he was in Dublin discovering whatever archeologists discover while Graham, Pierce and I were back in New York.

Graham pulled me into his side, muttering under his breath. I could only assume they were ways he was going to kill Flynn, again. His job requires him to move around. A lot. And unfortunately, I'm not allowed to know what his job placements are for confidentiality reasons. Some of his placements will keep him in areas around the world for up to 10 months at a time but thankfully not much longer than that. As you can imagine it's hard to have a relationship with someone you never see and barely talk to when you're both so busy with work. I relaxed into Graham's shoulder as he kissed the top of my head.

Pierce walked out of his room which was across the hall from mine. His eyes were still half closed from sleep. When he saw Graham and I on my bed he yelled "PYJAMA PARTY!" ran across the hall and jumped on us. I say us but I mean me. Graham leaned back so Pierce landed solely on me causing me to grunt from the sudden weight. I glared up at him.

"You had better get off me before I cut your dick off and shove it up your ass." I growled at him. Pierce's eyes grew wide before narrowing into slits trying to tell if I was joking or not. By the look on my face he knew I wasn't.

"I'd get off her man, before she follows through on that threat." Graham chuckled.

Pierce scrambled off the bed cupping his junk. I smirked. These guys acted tough but fortunately for me I knew them better than that.
