Pierce P.O.V.
I laid on my bed for God knows how long thinking back to my relationship with Adrian and how much I may have just complicated things. We were good together when we were happy, when we got upset with each other though we were toxic. She doesn't know that she's the only girl I've ever had feelings for, which is probably a good thing since Graham is in love with the girl. I can see why though...hell a blind guy 4 states over could see why everyone looks at her when she walks into a room.
I groaned as I got up, pulling on a pair of sweatpants and a tee-shirt before going over to my desk to start working on a new design for a part of developing New York City. That's the nice thing about doing a paid internship with one of the most successful and wealthy architectural companies in the state, if they like you and you're good at what you do, once your internship is done you can start almost right away. If you're shit though, then you should probably find something else to do.
I lost track of how long I was planning, sketching and erasing for but the next thing I knew it was 1 am. I reluctantly realized it was probably time for me to stop being a recluse and have actual human interaction that wasn't almost fucking my best friends' childhood crush. I walked out towards the kitchen before sitting down at the island, staring off into space.
"Hey mate, how was planning?" I jumped slightly startled by Graham's voice in the kitchen.
Maybe that's how Adrian felt earlier today and why she screamed so loud. If Graham didn't come home when he did I could've made her scream loud enough that people on the first floor would've heard her.
"Well, I still have just a rough sketch of the building so...not very good."
"How long were you in your room for? You should try to not be so much of a hermit too."
I rolled my eyes and raise my voice an octave or two, "Yes mother, I was working from 5 to now. And I'll be a hermit if I so choose."
"Now honey, what have I told you about locking yourself in your study all day? You should try and spend some more time with the kids" Graham said raising his voice an octave or two, "Seriously though man, how did things go with Classic?" His voice dropping back to normal.
"Honestly...I don't know. Classic's been on my ass for the new high-rise design and I'm exactly where I was weeks ago, square fucking one."
"Fuck eh? Anything I can do to help?"
"I don't think so but thanks for the offer." I said, a small smile on my mouth at my best friend trying to help when he knows nothing about architecture.
"You know I'm always here if you need anything. Adrian too."
"Adrian is what?" We both shot our heads to the front entrance unsure of when Adrian got here. I paused for a second taking her outfit in. She was in black fishnet tights with black shorts overtop and the same boots from yesterday on. She also had a very low-cut mesh back almost non-existent tank top on with her signature leather jacket and red velvet lips. I swear she never leaves the house without it, even in the summer.
I smirked, "You're always here for me if I need anything." I said making the sexual innuendo extremely clear to anyone that heard it.
Adrian grunted, "I wouldn't count on that if I were you." She said before walking towards her room. I couldn't help but look at her legs that mere hours ago were wrapped around me in a vice lock. I swallowed slightly feeling a stir in my sweatpants. I glanced over at Graham who had such a look of longing on his face it was almost unbearable. I couldn't help the sudden rush of guilt for what Adrian and I did earlier.
