Are things normal again?

Once I get home rose is happy to see me. She gets all worried and starts asking me all these questions. I don't meen to ignore her but I think I am. I go into my mothers room. Shes still sitting in the same place she was 3 days ago. How does someone just shut down like she does. How? And with 2 daughters. It's unbelievable. I get so frustrated and walk out and slam the door. Rose stops talking and starts crying and runs away to her room. I just fall slowly to the ground and lay there and cry. After about 5 minutes I force my self to get up and go into roses room. She laying on her bed crying. I go and lay next to her. I stroke her back and say," guess what?" she rolls over and faces me. "what?" she says. I say," I think I have a date tomorrow. She just stares at me. Finally she says," who is it?" I answer," do you know gale Hawthorne?" she nods. And says," oh. He seems nice. I hope you have fun tomorrow." I hug her and say sorry and ask her," hey rose wanna help make some vegetables?" her face lightens up and stops crying and stands up and runs and hugs me and grabs my hand and leads me to the kitchen. I laugh a little a long the way. I think things are kinda getting back to normal. I hope they are.
