Home without dad

Its been a week since that awful day. No. It was more than awful. It was horrible, terrible, the worst day of my life. Why did this happen? It's the stupid capitols fault. If it wasnt for them my dad would still be here. Mom hasn't talked since that day. Im pretty sure shes dead on the inside. Rose usually just sits in her room and hugs that cat of hers all day. Oh I hate that cat. Well he's good for one thing. Making rose happy. If I shut down then all 3 of us (4 counting the cat) will die. Me and josh really never see each other anymore. His mom gave birth to a healthy baby girl. She named her rosey. It reminds me of rose. There's been almost nothing in the woods. Either that or I've just given up. The next day all I did was rain. Since no one really cares but me.... Why should I? I go out into the rain and just walk. I slip on something and just lay there and cry. What seems like hours is really only like 10 minutes. All of a sudden I feel someone pick me up and take me inside a building. Im still crying when I look up and see its the guy I ran into on the way home that horrid day. He says," hi I'm gale and you are?" Im puzzeled. Why did he pick me up? I reply," um Stacey. Do I know you?" he says," we go to school together. I'm 2 years older then you cause I'm 18 and your 16. Right?" I say," right." he gives me a blanket and a cup of water. I say," thanks. Can I ask you a question?" he says," sure" then he smiles. I ask," why did you pick me up and bring me in here?" gale takes a deep breath and answers. "well you know you tripped and I thought you were dead...... So I picked you up and you were alive" he smiles. I fake smile back. I stay for about 15 more minutes and I stand up and say," thanks for everything. I probably need to get home." he stood up when I did and said," your welcome Stacey. I understand I have 3 siblings." I look at him puzzeled," what do you mean you understand?" I ask him. He replys," I mean I have to feed my 3 siblings and me and my mother. My dad dies in the explosion too." all I say is," oh. I'm very sorry for your loss." then I run out. Apparently he follows me because I feel I strong hand on my arm. I turn around and I confirm it's gale. He says," will I see you again? And here" he wraps a jacket around me. Probably cause its still raining. I answer," um I don't know. Sorry" I try and leave again cause he let go but he runs in front of me a says," let me take you somewhere tomorrow. Please?" I think long and hard. I say," sure gale," he smiles and says," I'll come to your place about 11 tomorrow morning. K?" "ok" I say. Then I walk home.
