Tweek
December 8th, 5:09. Saturday.
A week had passed, meaning that some things had changed. But most things had remained the same. I think the most that stood out thing that's happened was Craig moving back in with his parents. Turns out, they had thought long and hard about their son being gay and just decided on becoming tolerate. There was an upside, and a downside to this. The good part being that we probably wouldn't be running into another 'us being too close' scenario ending in some huge fight like last time. Not to mention I also get to have my own tv in my room now which Craig had never taken back to his room. But besides these good things, I was going to miss waking up to see Craig there, laying beside me with his dorky smile that he only exposed to me and only me. I would miss that but I guess it's good for us to have some more space anyway. And besides, we still live next door so we always say good morning through the window to each other.
Everything else had been the same. Nothing had really been different between me and Craig since we first got together and that is mainly because we want to take things slow and to just enjoy our simple relationship. You know, just so we can take the time to get comfortable with each other. I still get pretty embarrassed whenever I'm close to Craig. Hopefully that will change so I can be more bold in the future. But that would just be me...
"Well, that's great, Buttercup!" That has been my temporary nickname for Butters. We had been talking over the phone together. "I'm glad you and Kenny are working things out."
His voice made it clear he had been smiling. "Me too! He's actually really nice to me. Hehe, I'd say I was pretty lucky." He said. "By the way, Ken asked me out to the Winter Dance on Friday! It was so romantic!"
I smiled, "Aww! I'm so proud of you, Butters! You said yes, right?"
He giggled, "Yeah, dummy! Of course I said yes!"
Before I could answer him, my dad from the bottom floor called out for me. "Tweek! Your Craig is here to see you!"
My heart fluttered with joy. I haven't yet seen him today.
"Sorry, Butters. Craig is at the door. I'll call you back, okay?"
"No need." He said. "Good luck!"
I hung up the phone and practically sprinted for the door, which resulted in me almost tripping. I let out a sharp yelp but quickly calmed myself. Not today, death! My boyfriend's at the door.
I flung open the door and raced down the stairs, only to see Craig at the door, dressing quite formally which I found to be cute. What stood out to me was the bouquet of roses he held at his side. Then it hit me:
aH shIt, wE hAd A dAtE tOdAy, DidN'T wE!?
FUCK!
"GAH! I-I'm so sorry, a-are we going out today!? I completely forgot! AH!" I asked as I approached him outside.
Craig just chuckled in response to my forgetfulness. "No, babe, don't worry. I'm totally surprising you."
I felt a breath of relief hang over me. Oh, good! I was about to be dubbed the world's worst boyfriend!
"Oh. W-Well, I'm not exactly dressed my best or anything. Nngh...sorry." I apologized while tugging at my shirt.
"Stop apologizing. I think you look cute."
