Ch. 14

I ran into the kitchen scared and unsure of what was happening.

Wy would Niall get drunk!?

Was he..i dunno...upset?

Zayn was siting in the couch with Perrie sleeping on his lap.

"Hey babe," Zayn said not turning his head towards me.

"Hey..." I simply replied.

"You alright?"

"Uh. I don't know." He finally turned around and looked at me sitting on the kitchen floor against the back door. He picked Perrie's head up and placed it gently onto a pillow before coming to me.

"Can I sit?" I nod and feel him pull me onto him.

"What's the matter Annie?" I stayed silent.

"Hello? Anyone in there?" He asked tapping my head with his knuckles. "Vas happenin' up dere?"

"You let Niall get drunk?" I asked taking my daze off the floor.

"No. We..Liam... tried to stop him."

"Did he give us a thought? Did he give Katie a thought!?" My voice barely audible.

"I'm sure he didn't considering he made that stupid move."

"Wow," i said simply and started shaking my head.

"Yeah some of the things he was saying was pretty funny tho," he started chucking, "like when said-" I scowl at him and he clears his throat and shakes his head, "it was unexceptable." I get off his lap and head to my room. I hear him sigh as I walk up the steps. I can hear little noises coming from Liam's room. I wonder what they're talking about. Geez Annie! stop being so nosy!

As I approach my room i hear faint talking. Louis' probably watching t.v. I walk in and find him sitting against the back of our bed. I walk over to the and sit down. He pulls me by my waist onto his lap. Of course he's watching old re-runs of Friends.

"Are you drunk?" I blurt.

"What the! No!?" He asks clearly surprised with my question. Hmm... ring a bell? "Why?"

"Because Niall is."

"I know."

"He said," I started to feel tears pricking at my eyes. "he said." Why can't i finish this damn sentence!?

"Don't cry!" He tells me and pulls his fingers through my hair.

"I can't help it!" I yell as I turn my face into his white tshirt.

"Awh! Annie! Stop crying baby!" He says and rubs my back which makes me cry even more. I start to remember when my... Nevermind.

"Shh..." he says and pulls his fingers through my hair. I start to drift off to sleep and remember my childhood before Harry left for the X Factor.

Katie's POV

I'm sitting here like a crying mess while Niall is trying to get near me.

"Stay away for me!' I yell at him. His face softens every time I do.

"Kay," he says. All I can see is my...i don't think i should continue...

Annie POV

As I walk past the hallway closet I hear screaming in my parent's room. I know they're fighting and one of them is drunk. I run into my room and hide inside my covers. I peek out to see where Katie is. I see her body in her covers with her head still covered. "Kay," I say.

"Hmm," she wobbles her bottom lip as she peers her head out of the covers. I run over to her bed and slide in. We pull the covers over our heads. As I'm holding them up she starts to cry. I start to shush her and it works, for the first time it works and Its only been a couple minutes. I rub her back softly and hold the covers over us. She starts to yawn and get tired.

"Do you think," she yawns again, "do you think we'll ever be able to come out of here?' she asks.

"We have before haven't we?" she nods and puts her head on my chest. I start to feel a little sleepy too, so I let go of the blanket, tuck it under the pillow covering our heads and fall asleep after I hear a glass shatter in the other room. Now would be the time to pray for sound proof walls.
