You drape your dreams across

my rib cage in kisses

that are just heavy enough to exist

you radiate a promise

that love is more than a

temporary fixation of feelings

In a less than temporary way

believe you.

Crystalline butterflies

concrete skies

I feel you in my heart

the whip of winds

one day

held in the

jar labled

forever after this.

and you don't know

but its hard to let go

let go of your hand in mine

when we bowtied our tetherball

heartstrings

in your arms

I was dissarmed

I loved you like

wasn't supposed to love you

I loved you like

I knew

what love was.

you made me wanna live like that,

Like I could know.

all-American grease stained man

Clad in a jacket, rugged, clover tucked into

your pocket

and eyes locked on

mechanics for idiots.

So close I can smell you

over the book in my hand

I blush and shift where I stand

and...you...smile..
