"Ah! Haven over here." My aunt calls from across the emptying foyer.

How the hell is she so cheery and she just lost her sister. I swear this women is bonkers.

I walk towards the small room. "auntie can we go now, I'm not feeling too well."

"Yes I was just about to come for you. get grace and Stevie and we can go. their in the back bedroom." she says turning towards the door. "I'll be in the car with your uncle."

I walk down the small hallway towards the spare bedroom and open the door revealing the two and three year olds sound asleep side by side in the bed.

I walk over to the bed and go for grace the lightest, first and pick her up but stop when I see a familiar sun and wolf symbol tattooed on the girls arm.

I lightly put her down and pull at her brothers sleeve revealing the same tattoo.

I return the sleeve back down to his wrist, pushing the thoughts to the back of my mind to ask auntie about it later.

Grace begins to stir rubbing at her eyes. "Momma?" she asks sleepily. "No no sweetie it's haven." I say picking her up.

"I wanna go home."she yawns her eyes drooping slowly. "Don't worry we are. Go back to sleep love." I say rocking her slightly. I bend down to pick up Stevie with my other hand and carry them through the door and out to the shiny black SUV parked in the drive way.

When I reach the car my uncle David steps out and stretches his arms for Stevie, putting him in the seat. I repeat his actions then walk around the car to the other side and climb in.

"Now Haven," My aunt starts. "We are so happy to have you with us even if it's because of such a tragic reason. But, now that you will be staying with us we have come up with a few rules for you to follow"

"Ok." I reply not in the mood for my aunts dramatic over the top bull.

"Well firstly you will be in the house by eleven-thirty/twelve the latest on the weekends and ten on school nights. No boys in the house past 5:30 and-"

"What about Davis?" I cut her off

"He's the only one I'll allow to stay over cause well you know he's 'gay'. She says as though it's poison in her mouth.

"What wrong with that?" I ask Rudely. "Excuse me?" she double takes

"I said, what is wrong with someone who like the same gender? They are people too so I don't know why your sitting there like your any better than anyone of them." I roll my eyes.

She looks at me surprised but quickly recovers putting a smug grin on her face. "Anyways back to the rules third you will be ready for dinner by 7:00 washed an-" I stop listening blocking her out and look out the tinted window at my now old subdivision.

I'm brought back to my surroundings when I hear someone call my name

"oh Haven. Were you even listening to me? God! How did your parents even deal with you?" My aunt says while my uncle pulls into the driveway of my new home.

"Jessica!"my uncle says slamming on the brakes. "What?! it's not my fault Cassandra didn't teach this child proper manners!" she bites back.

"How could you say that to me?"I whisper so low I fear she didn't hear me but am quickly proved wrong when she turns my direction.
