Guns N' Roses were on their best moment; together, Axl Rose, Slash, Duff Mckagan, Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler recorded their first original album, ''Appetite For Destruction''. This album became one of the biggest records worldwide, and they were living the time of their lives. It had great critics, and all rock fans loved it.

The guys started their first world tour and they were very happy together. They had everything they dreamed of. Lots of girls were crazy about them and that's when groupies appeared on scene. Every night, when the concerts finished, the girls went backstage, drank, and had sex with them. The boys enjoyed it, and because of this and their huge excesses with drugs, they became the most dangerous band in Los Angeles, and at that time, probably in the world.

Duff was a great guy, a big dreamer, and a crazy rock lover; he had an enormous heart, but even before starting with Guns N' Roses, he built up a personality which didn't match with what he really was. He started smoking, and became just like his friends, a hard drinking person. He had two girlfriends, the first one was called Mandy, a little blond young girl aged 22. Duff loved blond girls, he didn't like any other type of girls, at least that's what he thought. This girl and the bassist finished their relationship because of Mandy. She told Duff he didn't pay the attention she deserved, and that he was blind because of the massive quantities of drugs he used to consume. Mostly the same thing happened with Linda, his second girlfriend. She thought Duff was having sex with groupies at the same time he was with her. After all of this, Duff decided not to start any relationship, and continue having fun with groupies and his friends.
