Fairy dust, powder of unicorn horn, dream lotus petals, a dash of water from the Whispering Spring, and peppermint-heart leaves to taste.

Arabelle Hunt repeated the ingredients she needed to herself over and over again, determined not to forget them this time. The last time she had forgotten ingredients, Madam Snow had made her clean Lyre's litterbox, and that was no small task. One had to actually find the litterbox in order to clean it, and Lyre liked to move it around so often that you would never find it in one place twice.

Fairy dust, powder of unicorn horn, dream lotus petals, a dash of whispering spring water, and peppermint heart leaves to taste. Fairy dust, powder of unicorn horn, dream lotus petals, a dash of whispering spring water, and peppermint heart leaves to taste. I refuse to forget it this time, she thought to herself as she walked down the empty forest path that led to the garden where Madam Snow grew the ingredients she needed for her potions.

She eventually made it to an empty glade surrounded by tall oak trees. After looking around to make sure no one was following her, Arabelle stooped down, her dress the same color as the oak leaves rustling as she did so. She picked up a small green and brown mottled frog, grimacing at what she had to do next, and kissed the top of its head.

"Ew-ew-ew-ew-ew!" she muttered as she set it back on the forest floor. When the frog was back on the ground, the clearing filled with the smell of flowers, both known to the outside world and not known, and Arabelle took a deep breath in, relishing the scent. A garden shimmered into view, showing off a glittering fountain in the center, bright and colorful flowers on both sides, and a gleaming trellis covered in deep-green vines standing as a doorway. Arabelle walked underneath the trellis, moving some vines out of her way as she did so, and into to garden.

"Okay. The dream lotuses should be..." Arabelle looked around the garden, trying to spot the small pink flowers. "Ah! The fountain, of course." She made her way over, being careful not to step on any trailing plants or tiny animals. When she arrived at the fountain, Arabelle looked across the surface of the water, searching for the right flowers. When she finally found the knot of tiny flowers, she picked the two of the best-looking ones.

"Now... Peppermint-heart leaves, let's see... Shoot! I passed them when I walked in. I'll just have to..." she trailed off as she turned around to find a young man standing underneath the trellis and gawking at the garden. "Who are you?" she blurted out in shock. The young man turned around to face her, his surprise clearly shown on his face.
