Ranunculus: Radiance and charm.

"Hey, hey..."

I stared straight at the fence before me as I ate, ignoring the sharp small nudges that the person beside me was jabbing against my side.

"Hey.."

Chew.

"Hey, Chiasa...."

Chew.

"Chiii-chaann...."

Chew.

"Yo yo yo, Chiasa look,"

Double chew.

"Wooo! Look, they shot that one in this time!!"

Double double chew.

"Yah, Chi-chan, let's cheer!!"

A long, disgruntled swallow.

"WOOO~ GO HARU-KUN!! Ah, Chi-chan, can you buy some mor-"

"YeS," I said, my eyebrow slightly twitching in stress, "I'll gEt iT fOR yOU."

Aya continued jumping as she hugged and thanked me, and I patted her and waved her off as she riled up the other girls with us to cheer for her crush, Oka Haru.

I took a few more bites from my bento, before closing it and swinging between my arm. I approached the snack bar line and released a small, inaudible sigh.

After a few seconds, a wind blew behind me, and my face froze when I turned and saw the large, stern face.

"Yosano!!"

Gouda's expression changed to an excited one, and I sweatdropped at his sudden greeting. I lightly smiled and nodded towards him.

"Gouda, you're buying more food again, aren't you?"

"Mm, I'm craving sweets right now. Especially, the kind my girlfriend bakes," his face was bright and shined with a lovey aura, and I nodded once again.

We were both immersed in talking about our favorite sweets and pastries (which apparently Gouda didn't have), that we didn't notice the line become shorter. His deep, loud voice resounded in my ears that it always blocked out most of the things surrounding me, and he also had a very jaunty personality, which made it comfortable talking to him. Talking to Gouda always made me happy.

Because of this, talking to him would always put you in his world- and his large, built figure were the walls that made you focus on him when he spoke to you. Because of this, I didn't notice the dark, gold shade walk past us, and only steadied my eyes on the booming voice before me.

A hand then reached beside my shoulder, and the soft, soothing voice echoed against my ear.

"Takeo, you didn't even notice the line move forward? People have been cutting you guys for a while."

I took a step towards my side, after hearing Sunakawa release an exasperated sigh. He held the bags of flavored mochi closer to Gouda, and Gouda accepted them with his lips shaped as an an O.

"Sorry Gouda, I was in front of you, we were talking so much about sweets that I m-"

In that moment, Sunakawa lifted another hand, and within it, were two melon breads.

Shocked, I denied his offer politely, yet his hand remained lifted before me.

"Take it, I don't mind."

After a few thoughts, the two melon breads were in my hands while Gouda was praising Sunakawa for the sudden gesture. Sunakawa was staying still as usual, looking at the taller figure as he nodded.
