Hiding

Chapter 2: Fire

 

Sorry I haven’t updated in a while. Its summer know, so I will have more time. I will try to update my other book Run, but I have readers block so… anyway this chapter a little boring. It will get way better I promise!  Warning it’s not edited, I need an editor. Cast Members are two the side.

 

Chapter 2:

“Brittany is it ok if Carson sits with us today?” I say sitting down with Brittany at lunch. I invited him to lunch because we have become good friends. It’s just been a week since the day he helped me with Eric am I should probably ask him about him soon because Eric hasn’t bothered me yet.

“Yes! Hi Carson.” Kelly my other friend says giggly. Kelly has a crush on Carson, and it is kind of weird the way she is looking at him right now, and we all laugh at her, but Carson because he has no idea what is happening.

“I am I missing something?” Carson says. I giggle. The people at our table are Carson, Brittany, Kelly, Emma, and I. I am sitting between Carson and Brittany.

“Nothing.” I pat him on the back.

“So, Eric wanted me to talk to you about something. “Carson says in my ear. I nod.

“You’re still hanging out with that jerk?” I say quiet enough that the others don’t hear.

“He is not a jerk and yes, but can I talk to you.” He looks around at the girls like he doesn’t want them to be there.

“These are my best friends they are going to find out what you said unless it’s something personal, so anything you say to me they are going to find out sooner or later.” He nods.

“Fine ok Eric was talking about how he was chasing you and he saw you run into the girls’ restroom with his own eyes then when he went in there you weren’t there. He was just wondering what happened or I guess I want wondering. I tense up.

“Uh, Nothing I don’t know what you’re talking about!” I say really fast. “I got to go. See ya later?” He looks at me confused. I go up to Brittany and whispers in her ear; code y. She tenses up and signals the girls to follow her and we leave Carson all alone.

“What happened? Did he say he saw you use them? When did you use them?” Brittany says too fast. All the girls gathered in our dorm room. Code y is a signal that I need help because someone said anything about my powers or questioned me in any way that led back to my powers. These girls are the only ones that know about my powers, and my parents.

“Which power was it?” They were hitting me with questions too fast and I couldn’t answer any of them.

“Hey! Let me talk.” The girls fall quiet. “Ok when Eric was chasing me I ran into the girl’s restroom and knowing that he would come in I transported to the janitors closet. No one saw me. It’s just when Eric walked into the restroom I wasn’t there and Carson heard the story and was asking me about it. I didn’t know what to say, so I said nothing.” I took a deep breath. All the girls were silent with their mouths open, and of course Brittany was the first to talk.

“Well why don’t you just ignore it for now, and if he brings it up again then we can figure things out then.” We all agree.

“I have my next class with him.” I say. “What if he asks what happened to me?”

“I don’t know, but you better get to your next class.” I nod, and everyone heads to their next class. Once we are out of the dorm building everyone goes their separate ways. I look around campus for the building that has my next class, and walk towards it.
