A trip of a lifetime ( Joji x Reader )

Chapter 2

You pulled off the highway, and onto the exit ramp to get to the shell station. You had drove for a little bit longer than you planned, because you missed the first exit ramp, and little did you know, that the second one was 3 miles away.

You were almost to empty, and don't have any Time to lose.

 You pulled up to a pump, and got your card out. " too bad they aren't paying" you thought as you opened your door. You pushed in all the necessary buttons for a full tank, and put the nozzle in the filler neck.

"Do i need anything while I'm here?" "Anisa said, George, and Ian bought snacks, but I bet they didn't buy any drinks." you heard the thump of the pump, and put the nozzle back in its little nook, and looked into the windows to make sure everyone was still asleep. Which they were. You climbed in, and pulled up into a parking space in front of the gas station.

As you opened your door, Anisa spoke up. " hey what are you getting it there? Wait i'll just come with you." " OK " you said surprised. You had no idea she was awake, or maybe she just woke up? Anisa opened her door and shut it quietly, and you locked the door, and went into the stop-and-rob.

"Hello, welcome." said the clerk. " hey " Anisa said, " hey y/n, I'm going to look for some candy, can you get me a coke?" Anisa said as he walked to the back. " yea sure." you walked back to the drink coolers, and picked out a coke and a Dr. pepper. "Hm, wonder if the guys want drinks." "naaa, it's their fault for being asleep." you thought.

"y/n, do you want me to get you any candy?" " no its fine. I thought George and Ian got snacks and stuff?" you said as you walked back to where Anisa was. "They did, but its all chips" "this is all i need, lets go." Anisa said, and pulled out her wallet as you both walked to the counter.

"Give me your stuff y/n, i'll pay for you." "oh no it's fine, you don't have to, i have money Anisa." "no no really, you've been driving and it's the least i can do, because i'm not going to drive at all." alright, you can pay if you want, here."

you handed her yours, and her drink. Anisa checked out, and both of you walked back to your car. Anisa handed you your drink, and you opened your door and climbed in. "you sure you don't want to drive Anisa?" you said a you looked in the rear view mirror and smiled.

"I'm very sure." said Anisa, "i am, going to try and take another nap to pass the time." "OK" you said and started up the car, and put it into reverse. And backed out, and got back on the highway to drive for another eternity.

You looked back down at the time display. 7:52. It said. "Didn't I stop for gas like, an hour ago?" you thought. But you didn't remember. You speed up a bit and put cruise control on, so you could get a little more comfortable in the seat.

No one had woken up yet, and it was getting very boring. After what felt like 3 minutes, you gave in and turned the radio on. But turned the volume way down. " they're just going to have to deal with it." you found a good station and relaxed in your seat.

But soon realized that even though you had good signal, it was not the greatest music. " maybe if I get my phone, I can put my Pandora on." you said under your breath. You looked down at your phone, i the cup holder, and back up at the road.

There was only one car, and it was far off, so nothing to worry about. You felt for your phone, and put it on the steering wheel so you could see the road and that phone. You unlocked your phone and frond Pandora, and plugged it in. and after a second, your music started playing. " now i can drive in some comfort."

the drive so far had been relaxing, and the sun rise from the road, was actually nicer than from your view back at home. You weren't actually out of California yet, but you were getting close to the border. Or maybe you haven't seen it? "Could i have driven passed a sign?" you said under your breath.
