### **Zayan's POV**The cold hospital corridor echoed beneath my steps as I paced back and forth, nervously rubbing my sweaty palms. My heart was racing—half from anxiety, half from anticipation. This was it. Any moment now, I would be meeting my baby for the first time. Alishba was in the labor room.
"Hey... don't worry, she'll be fine," Rafe said, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder.
"She's in pain, Rafe. I can't take it. I hate seeing her like this," I muttered, my voice trembling.
"I know, man. But trust me, she's stronger than you think. She's got this."
"I can't wait to meet my nephew!" Rey said, leaning casually against the wall. We already knew it was a boy. Alishba had been over the moon. I had secretly hoped for a girl, but seeing her so happy, I couldn't help but share in her excitement.
"Hey, how is she?" Minal's voice cut through my thoughts as she rushed toward us.
"She's in the labor room," I answered quickly.
"Where were you?" Rafe asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Sorry—I got stuck in traffic," she replied, slightly out of breath.
Ten minutes later, the labor room doors opened. The doctor stepped out, cradling a tiny baby in her arms.
"Congratulations, Mr. Zayan," she smiled, handing me my son.
The moment he was in my arms, the world stopped. A rush of love and disbelief flooded me. He was so small, like a little fluffy rabbit, snuggled into my chest. His eyes were shut tight, his nose tiny, and his red chubby cheeks glowed with warmth.
"Oh my God, he's so cute!" Minal squealed, gently taking him into her arms.
"Careful," I warned, my heart lurching slightly.
"Don't worry, I've got him," she assured with a soft smile.
"Congrats, dude," Rafe said, slapping my back.
"He looks like me already," Rey teased, bending down to stroke the baby's cheek. "Hey there, little man. Say hello to your uncle."
"How's my wife?" I asked the doctor, my eyes not leaving my baby's face.
"She's absolutely fine. We'll shift her to the room in a few minutes," she replied.
"May I?" she asked, gently taking the baby from Minal. "We'll clean him up." With a warm smile, she disappeared back into the room.
Soon after, Alishba was brought into her hospital room.
"Hey fighter... are you alright?" I whispered, kissing her forehead as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Why are you crying?" I asked, brushing her tears away.
"Because I'm happy... I can't even describe it," she giggled through her tears.
"Tears of happiness then," I smiled, wrapping her in a gentle hug. "Thank you for giving me the most precious gift."
"I love you," she whispered.
"I love you too," I said.
"Ahem... can we come in?" Rey coughed theatrically.
"You're already inside," I chuckled as Rafe and Minal walked in behind him.
"I brought these for my little man," Rey announced, tying balloons to the crib.
"How are you, new mommy?" Minal hugged Alishba.
"I'm good," she beamed.
"Congratulations, Alishba," Rafe added warmly.
"Thank you," she smiled.
