I admired her from across the classroom.

Eyes of crystal blue, hair of spring flowers. She is the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen.

I could look at her all day. I could gaze at her fiery locks and beautiful pale skin until the sun drops. I could admire each and every freckle on her body until the moon settled into the sky. I could cherish her beautiful eyes until the sun rose to the surface of the earth, creating a soft glow. Yet no glow, no matter how soft or how subtle, could compare to her face on a warm day.

She turned, catching my eyes. Before I stoutly turned away, she winked. I felt my face burn cerise. I touched my cheek, feeling heat rising to the surface.

“So, we still on for tomorrow?” Max asked, putting her board in her locker. “Of course.” I smiled. “So we go to my house Friday, you spend the night, movies Saturday, and then your house afterward and I go home Sunday?” “Mhm.” I smiled. “See ya then.” She smiled, walking off.

I waited for Max Friday afternoon outside the school. I peered around the brick wall, seeing if she came out the side door. I sighed, no Max still.

“Hey babe.” She smiled, taking her beaning off my head. I turned suddenly, nearly jumping out of my skin. “You scared me.” I laughed. She put the beanie on her head, laughing back.

“Let’s go!” She called out as she laid her board on the ground, cruising down the street on it. “You know I don’t have a board, and that I can’t skate!” I yelled down the street as I chased after her.

She smirked as she stopped the board. “You’re such a bitch sometimes.” I socked her in the arm. “But I’m your bitch.” Her smirked persisted. “Correction: I’m yourbitch.” I winked.

We got to her house, opening the front door. Billy was in the living room, work-out equipment setup around the room. Max rolled her eyes as she passed him.

When we got back to her room, I threw my school stuff down on the floor. “Alright, so-“ She started in. I lightly tackled her, straddling her hips.

“C’mon, we have work to do!” She whined. I leant down, nipping at her neck. “Well…maaaaybe we can put it off a little longer…”

I laughed, kissing at her lips. She looked up into my eyes, a giggling emerging from her throat. I giggled back. I then threaded my hands through her belt loops, preparing to undo the jeans.

There was a shove to the door, then a terribly girlish shriek. “Max! Y-Y/n!” He screamed, turning back and running back to the living room.

I got off Max, seeing the distress in her face. She stood up, running into the living room. She shut the door behind her, but I could still hear everything.

“Y-you’re a fag!” Billy yelled. “Shut up!” She yelled back. “You’re disgusting!” “Will you shut the fuck up?” I didn’t hear anything come from him.

“Are you going to tell Mom and Neal?” “Yes, you fuckin’ freak!” “You’re not going to tell them anything. Okay? Because remember out little deal? That goes for Y/n as well.”

I heard a hard slap. I ripped the door open to see Max, large hand print already developing on her face. I ran into the room, ready to kick some ass.

Max held me back,”Stop. Stop!” I stopped protesting her holding me back. “If you tell them I’ll just deny it. They don’t trust you anymore.”

Billy was silent. He knew she was right. She smiled at me, grabbing my hand. We walked back to her, starting on her homework.
