Suddenly Penelope sat upright. "What was that?" she whispered to Zephyr and Pyrenees.
Clank.....clank......clank.....
Faint metallic footsteps could be heard coming down the hallway!
Zephyr switched on the walkie-talkie and spoke to the night watch man. "Mr. Chios, this is Zephyr Erato. Come quickly, please!"
There was no response.
The clanking footsteps had stopped , and the doorknob began to turn. Transfixed with fright, the three girls watched as the door swung open. They could hardl believe what they saw next.
The metal-shod intruder who clanked slowly into the room was a ghostly figure in armor!
