Flowers are growing along the path. Summer air blows in passing insects. Setting the background noise. Walking between the flowers but never touching. Some flowers are still openly forming their beauty as they grow unique petals that seem to want to reach out and touch you. You sway along the stone path you walk wondering which flower to water. Your one bucket in your hand is bottomless but it has the tiniest spout. Enough to water one flower at a time. You're umbrella has already caught enough water for yourself and can again every day. Do you walk up to the brightest flower or the most fragrant flower. Tending any flower will not bring true friendship. Just being the best is not enough. You decide not to compare two flowers with each other. You wait patiently. You decide not to chose the first flower that peaks you're interest. You wait for something special. It is guaranteed to be found one day. Today a flower will turn your favorite color as you walk by. You've heard of this before with others and have seen the results. There is something so special about this occurrence. For you know there is not a single perfect flower alongside the road that has already set itself up waiting exactly for you to pass by. To learn and change brings the best harmony over time. You value this ability of color change. To put another person first. The flower changes because it learns it has the power to bring about great changes in your life and wants to share that with you. It knows if it is generous it will give its best and this can affect both companions happiness. I just want to make my flower happy. May we all find the best possible spot nestled with our best friend right outside the stone path.
