Celeste had a hard time sleeping lately, she found herself tossing and turning all night long. Usually when it got too late, she would grab a random book and exit her dormitory, sneaking into the common room.
Tonight was the same as those nights. She wraps herself in a blanket and grabs her book before she goes down to the common room. She was sure her roommates could hear her footsteps against the wooden floorboards.
She wraps her blanket around herself tightly as she steps into the common room, and frowns when she sees someone turned out the fire. She pats her pockets in hopes of grabbing her wand, but with her luck, she left it on her nightstand inside of the dormitory. If only she could preform spells without her wand. Celeste lets out a sigh, pulling her short hair into a ponytail. She secretly hoped nobody would come down to the common room and bother her.
Celeste sits by the windows and sighs once again. She soon finds herself just staring at the pages of her book as she listens to the whistle of the wind hitting the very few windows of the room. The whole day it had been particularly rainy, but it was small drizzles. When it hit around midnight, it started storming harder than Celeste has seen in her sixteen years of living in Scotland.
She finds herself in her own head, thinking instead of actually doing much reading. It's been about two weeks since the announcement for the Hogsmeade trip came out and the girl didn't understand how she felt.
James and Lily started hanging out and got to know each other more on an intimate level, the two telling their friends that they're now dating. The couple spent every second they could together.
Celeste begun slowly distancing herself from her friends, she couldn't stand to see the two together. Sure, she is happy for the two, the only thing she wanted for them is happiness, but for some reason, her heart sank any time saw them laugh together or hug or even kiss. She didn't understand it.
Thunder claps loudly and brings the girl out of her thoughts, scaring her slightly. She slowly starts to drift off to sleep to the tapping of the rain on the windows while she tries to read her book.

Celeste finds herself lying in her bed the next morning and she jumps up from her spot rather confused. She checks the time and sees that it's now eight-twelve. That leaves about fifty minutes left of breakfast, she had to rush to get ready and eat, and finish an essay she forgot to do the night before. Her dorm mates are already awake and in the Great Hall. Celeste gets up from the bed and grumbles to herself, slightly mad because Leanna or her other roommates didn't think to wake her.
The girl greets Salem, feeding and giving the cat water before she can get ready for her day.
She gathers her outfit for the day and makes her way to the washroom to brush her teeth. She puts on her outfit and looks at herself in the mirror, not quite caring if she looked presentable. Her outfit consisted of a navy blue hoodie which is far too big on her, it being something she stole from Sirius' wardrobe so it is like a dress on her and a pair of black shorts underneath. She pulls on black socks and her signature high top converse, her socks peaking out the top of them.
Celeste uses a spell to put her hair in two french braids and she exits the dormitory with her wand and books in her hands.
The girl's eyes land on James and Lily who are sitting with the rest of their friends, her heart sinking the slightest bit. She puts her head down and moves to sit at the end of the Hufflepuff table by herself, keeping her head down as she silently does her unfinished homework. She doesn't look up when she hears someone set down their things next to her, but she can admit that she is the slightest bit curious to who could possibly be trying bother her at this time of day.
