Hi, name is David and I'm an orphan, meaning  I don't have a a last name. I have black hair and brown eyes ,and live in New York City in an orphanage.

Four years ago,  something strange and spectacular happened to me,  and I got these powers.  I never wanted these powers  , and I still don't,  they only cause problems for me.

I'm afraid of what would happen to me if anyone got wind of what I could do, therefore,  I hide my abilities from others hoping beyond all hope that no one would find out about them, and I would be able to live my life in peace.

My fears  however became reality when the governments of the world announced that others had gotten powers,  and were misusing them. They wanted to detain those with these gifts so that they wouldn't be able to hurt others with it.

However, nothing can remain secret forever,  and so I was revealed.

Though I don't wish this life on you  , listen to my story. If you're like me,  my advice is that,  you try better to hide your gifts,  learn from my mistakes and make an effort not to be discovered,  because once you are, there's no turning back from the world of chaos and carnage that you will be thrust into.

If you're not sure whether you have powers and you try to find out,  my advice is , don't try to find out if you do you won't like what will happen after you do.

Omniscient point of view.

Four years ago .

My friend Lyon, an orphan,  just like me walked down the street of New York City.

We were about two blocks away from our orphanage,  and we knew that if anyone ever found out that we snuck out,  we'd be dead meat,  but,  you know,  we couldn't help ourselves.

" We better hurry back to the orphanage before Madam Strider discovers that we left,  or else , well be in deep trouble.

" I know,  " retorted David as he continued walking,  "But,  I can't stay in that place for very much longer,  that  hag  of a woman treats us like her own personal slaves.

I can't stand that place,  and a few hours from it is like heaven to me,  I just wish that someone would adopt us,  anywhere would be better than that place" Lyon sighed. " I know what you mean. Just pray that we get out of this alive,  " With that,  they both burst out laughing.

They walked around the city for a while,  aimlessly roaming, for about three hours. During which  they had  the best moments of their lives,  free from the occasional and frequent bark of command,  or shriek of complaints from their caretaker,  Madam Strider,  and for that,  they were really grateful.

After three hours of entertainment though,  it was time to return home , " I think that's enough for one day,  how about we call it quits and return to the orphanage. " " I agree,  we don't wanna push our luck. "

And together, they started the trek to  the place that they called home,   even though neither wanted to return there.

However,  when they were about two blocks away from the orphanage,  something strange and spectacular  happened.

The was a large earthquake which rattled some very large buildings and collapsed some of the smaller ones around them.

The two boys screamed and run for cover,  however,  just as quickly as the quakes came,  they also disappeared. The city became eerily quiet as all the damage was assessed and the casualties counted.

The few able police run about checking the damage around the area when something else happened.

Clouds began to gather in the sky as flashes of light red,  green,  and yellow flashed across the sky.  Followed by another deep earthquake which caused some of the larger scale buildings to collapse,  effectively killing even more people and causing even me damage to the city.
