Four years later.

It's been four years,  four years since that incident that had been nicknamed ' Black out, 'by people all over the world where a minority of people, all over the world got strange powers ,including, some of the most common, telekinesis, aerokinesis, pyrokinesis and many others.

During that time, David has been doing his best to learn more about his powers.  Through his research, he found out that he had telekinesis, the ability to move things with one's mind.

He quickly started trying to learn how to control it, with help from Lyon of course, and, even though, he could barely do much with it, the most he could likely do was lift up any substance as big or heavy as a toaster, pot, or a ball, though, whether he could lift heavier things was unknown since he hasn't tried to lift anything heavier than that, so, whose to say.

The world was now filled inhumans, the next breakthrough in genetic mutation, and it wasn't long before people started using said powers for their personal gain.

Many people had risen up ,trying to obtain dominance over others with their powers, however, the GES, the first genetic breakthroughs, always came through to put an end to the problems.

Though,  this is where Davids life changed, for better of die worse, who can say.

"Hey ,"Lyon said as he walked into a room in the orphanage where David was sitting, staring out of the window.

"Hey, "David responded. Tear streaks marred his face, and his eyes were red from crying so much. Lyon sighed as he sat down beside David. "You know that it's not my fault that I got adopted, I mean, it was bound to happen eventually and-" David turned to face his friend suddenly.

"Yes it is ,  you're just tired of staying here, same as me. All the others have been adopted, you and I are the only ones left, and, you don't want to wait for somebody who would want to adopt the both of us, together.

"So, you took the first chance you got, the first people who wanted to adopt you, and, now you're leaving me with that horrible caretaker. "

Lyon looked down guiltily. David shook his head and stood, "You can go, go be with your new family, I just hope that you'll be happy were you're going. "

He turned around and walked out of the room, ignoring Lyon's calls walking into the room that he shared with the other orphans before they were all adopted, meaning, this room was now all his.

Using his new found 'gifts' he closed the door behind him and prevented anyone form opening it by imagining an invisible hand pushing it closed and keeping it closed. Something that he and Lyon had figured out about a year ago.

He sighed as he sat down, drowning in his own thoughts. He heard voices outside the room, and could only guess that it was Lyon trying to say his goodbyes ,but Madam Strider, ever the strict woman was preventing him.

This was one of the few, rare times that he was actually thankful that the old hag  was there since he didn't feel like talking to his best friend, well, ex-best friend.

After a minute or so, the voices stopped and he heard the sound of footsteps heading away from the door. A few minutes later, he heard the sound of a car engine, and even that faded into the late afternoon air.

David sighed, he stared into nothing for at least an hour, reliving the best moments of his life.

Finally, after an hour of sitting down doing nothing, he finally got up and headed to the living room, where Mrs Strider was watching the television. 'No surprise there, '

He was about to heard into the kitchen to look for food, when he heard something that concerned him. He turned around to watch a news channel. It showed, man  live , with pale skin and tattered clothes ,he was so thin that it wouldn't be a surprise if he had anorexia,  pointing a hand to a bank. The bank, his eyes widened when a news reporter said the name of the bank.
