Bad Hair Day

Shadow and I had just made it to the north district of Estersea (Forgot to mention, we live in the south district) when a cold wind swept through my body, not physically, but rather that I had just realised something...

"Shit..." I chuckled a bit as I spoke, gargling the words,

Shadow sighed, exasperated, and began to speak without looking at me,

"What." I grabbed his shoulder, and stopped him where he stood,

"We... Forgot Terra." I gave a hearty chuckle when Shadow's hand met his face, creating a loud *WHAP* and then he spun on his heel, and began slowly walking back to Terra's house, which was all the way back by our houses.

"God. Fucking. Dammit Blue." I couldn't help my uncontrollable laughing as I watched Shadow begin running off, toward the southern district,

"Hey! Wait for me!" I yelled, and I began to sprint as fast as I could to catch up with Shadow, of whom it was quite comical to watch run, because he had a limp from a 'training' session that almost got both of us killed not too long ago.

As I ran along the dry dirt path I began to kick up dust, leaving a long trail behind me. I looked back at the immeasurable amount of tiny particles dancing in the breeze, truly a sight for a summers' day.

After a handful of minutes spent running, I arrived at Terra's front door, breathless and exhausted, I doubled over, and took a second to catch my breath. Shadow was waiting by the door for me, and said he'd been waiting ages for me to get there.

I raised my fist and rapped on the door several times then took a step back, and the door suddenly swung outward, narrowly missing my face. Then a messy mass of light brown hair shot out the door and firmly landed on her two feet. She swept the tangled mess of fluff out of her eyes and gave a thumbs up,

"Ready!" She chirped, her usual cheery demeanour present. As always. Shadow began to laugh, and buried his face in his hands,

"What's so funny?" Terra asked, a questioning look replaced the smile, and I tried to figure out why Shadow was laughing so hard... She had strangely golden-green eyes that glinted when she smiled, similar to sun rays refracting through a chunk of amber, but then my gaze met the heap of light brown hair on top of her head, usually wavy, but it was just a bit of an explosion, beginning to resemble an Afro.

"Uhh..." I fumbled for words, until Shadow took them right out of my mouth,

"What happened to your hair?! You look like you got electrocuted!" Terra slowly reached up to her head, and her expression fell,

"Oh. I'll... Uh, be right back-" And with that she ran back into her house, and up to her room, I guess. I turned to Shadow and grinned,

"She must've forgotten to do her hair, does the ever happen to you?" I chuckled when Shadow responded by crossing his arms and turning away,

"Shut up, Blue." Although it sounded spiteful, I could hear him laugh lightly as well.
