Ghirahim was still sitting on the floor, feeling so empty and sad as silence covered the place. His gaze was lost, along with his mind...they travelled to where y/n might be. He felt so horrible for speaking in such a way to her but that was the only way to send her away and be sure she wouldn't return. Such a painful way...but he couldn't risk it...
It was then, when he heard a loud sound from the door. He then saw his long ago master entering the room. He collected his mess and stood up.
"Well, well...it's been a while...I've learned that you were a bad boy!" Demise said with an evil and wide grin "Defending the mortals! My, my...I didn't see that coming!"
"You should have...did you think I would stand by your side after what you did to me? I helped you to come back to life and you just used me as a weapon!" Ghirahim spoke as he felt anger running in his veins.
"But my poor Ghirahim...this is what you are!" Demise laughed loudly.
"You could at least thank me! I did a great effort to take that girl, claim her soul and fight that silly sky-brat in order to bring you back and what did I earn in return? You, ripping me apart and aiming me like lifeless weapon and besides all these...the sky-brat defeated you and I was sealed away for like...an eternity! Now...now you come back and you want to gain your powers again and rule the world! I am not afraid...go on and kill me cause I ain't going to help you this time...master!" Ghirahim said and spread his arms to show him that he wasn't going to resist at all.
"Ah, Ghirahim...she created you way too proud and way too stubborn! You are totally useless to me! You see, I only need the sky-child's blood to undo the curse and gain my power back. Then I will destroy everything and a new era will begin. But there's only one thing I need from you...tell me where the boy is!" Demise demanded.
Ghirahim started laughing at his words and then looked at his old master with an evil smile.
"Why should I do that?" Ghirahim said.
They looked each other in silence but then Demise's powers threw Ghirahim on the wall and pinned him there.
"You know Ghirahim, I always disliked your sarcasm! There's no way you will come out of this alive...you are a traitor and you will pay for being one. Traitors are something that make me sick with anger" Demise roared and his voice was spread all over the room.
"I wonder though...do these unfortunate souls, that are to your side, know that you will betray them sooner or later, just like you do with everyone that is not of your use anymore?" Ghirahim replied as he felt the powers tighten around his body.
"And who is going to tell them? YOU? AHA-HA! I doubt it because you will only care of how to save your pathetic existence...if you won't already be dead by then! I will make you suffer!"
After that, Demise tossed the demon across the room and he let him fall down. He didn't hesitate a moment and grabbed him by his neck and rose his weak body up.
"Tell me where the boy is!" Demise said.
Ghirahim just looked at him and did nothing. Then his master , once again, tossed him away only to let him land on the floor loudly. Ghirahim felt so much pain and wished to die quickly. He, however, had only one person's image in his mind to help him forget the pain.
"Who are you trying to save, Ghirahim? The mortals? You all are going to die either way!" Demise roared again.
Ghirahim tried to stand up but Demise's powers fell on him, making his body curl in pain as Demise laughed.
"You know...Dark told me that you were a bit harsh on him and that you protected a mortal girl...what's up with it? I think she is your servant...where is she? Maybe she will be useful and will help me earn my answer since you seem to care a little too much for her!" Demise mocked Ghirahim.
"I killed her"
"You did? Because I would say that you prefer to die for her, instead!"
"What I do with my servants is my own business!" Ghirahim hissed.
Demise didn't do anything else but just stood there and looked at Ghirahim. The demon managed to stand up but he felt incredibly weak. He didn't care...he wasn't even willing to fight Demise or defend himself. All he needed was to buy time for y/n so she would be able to run as far away as possible and he had to keep Demise here.
"Look at you...such a disappointment...you could be such a great weapon but you wasted your chance by defending the people!" Demise said.
"As strange as it may sound...for the first time...in my entire..life...I am really proud of...making such a decision!" Ghirahim confessed with a shaky voice.
And that was the point where Demise lost his patience. He sent a wave of powers which surrounded Ghirahim and lifted him up as he cried in pain.
"YOU AIN'T GOING TO DIE THAT EASY! I WILL TORTURE YOU TILL YOU BEG FOR YOUR DEATH!" the demon king yelled.
The pain was unbearable and Ghirahim's powers weren't enough to make it stop. He had to endure it though...he had to buy time! He felt that his end was near but he felt somehow happy that he was the first who would taste the demon King's anger. Who knew? Maybe Demise would grow tired from all this and maybe the mortals would have the chance to beat him before he would get back his true powers. To avoid the bad thoughts, Ghirahim's mind brought y/n's image again. Her smile, her eyes, her hair, her body...such a perfect combination. 'Ah yes! She could easily be a Goddess of her own! She is definitely something worth to even die for!' he thought as he felt darkness fall around him.
After some minutes, Ghirahim's place looked like hell. The garden was not a garden anymore. Everything was black and burned. Corpses of bobokins and other servants lied everywhere. The palace looked like ancient ruins now. Demise tore everything and then decided to leave the place, taking with him the unconscious body of Ghirahim. He was planning to keep him alive till he would find the hero. Then, he would kill both of them and after gaining back his powers, he would put his plan in action that up to now was always being cancelled due to some idiotic obstacles that got in the way. This time, things were different or at least...that was what the demon King believed.
