×Hae Ra's POV×
"You- you're joking r-right?" I asked, tears streaming down my face.
He just shook his head and said, "I'm sorry but I really don't know you,"
The doctor soon came in and checked Jinyoung then he asked me if he could talk with me privately.
"So Jinyoung has an amnesia, it's either temporarily or permanently. It's best if you call his parents and tell them to come here so that the four of us can discuss his condition," the doctor said.
I just nodded then called Mrs Bae.
"Yobeseoyo, ne eomoni, Jinyoung's awake and the doctor told me that you should come," I said then hang up.
--
His parents soon came and we all proceeded to the doctor's office.
"So, about your son's condition, he has an amnesia and it's either temporarily or permanently," he said and Mrs Bae cried.
"Will he remember us?" Mr Bae asked.
"He'll remember his parents, childhood memories and family members but the only thing is..." he said looking at me.
"He might not remember you," he said, sadness filling his voice.
"W-what do you m-mean?" I stuttered, tears falling nonstop.
"He might not remember the things that happened to him the day the accident occured," he replied.
I had enough so I excused myself amd went to Jinyoung's room.
"Hey Jinyoung, since you don't remember me, I'd like to introduce myself, " I said putting on a fake smile when deep inside I was really broken.
"Sure," he smiled warmly, how I missed that smile.
"My name's Park Hae Ra, my name is written on your ring which you are now wearing," I said and pointed at the ring on his finger. He took a look at it and caressed it.
"You gave this to me on our first anniversary, " I said and showed him my ring.
"I'm so sorry if I can't remember you," he said, guilt lacing his voice.
"No, it's okay, I understand," I reassured him.
"I think you should rest, I'll get going now, take care and get well soon," I said while he just nodded.
I exited his room and saw his parents outside.
"I'll get going now eomoni, abeoji," I said and went home.
I immediately ran upstairs to my bedroom when I arrived home. I shut the door immediately and slid down sobbing.
"I can't believe you forgot me," I sobbed.
"I hate this, please tell me everything's just a joke,"
"Please tell me that I'm only dreaming,"
"You can't forget me Jinyoung-ah,"
I sobbed and sobbed then curled into a ball on the floor. My mom soon barged into my room then hugged me.
"Tell me what happened," she told me rubbing my back.
"He has amnesia and he might not remember me," I sobbed, clenching her now soaked clothes.
"Be strong dear, I'm always here for you," she said reassuringly. She stood me up then pushed me to the bathroom.
"Clean up and get changed, we're going out, " she said pushing me inside.
I took a bath and wore a white plain shirt and black ripped jeans then wore my white converse.
"Where are we going mom?" I asked while we were walking on the street.
"Just at the cafe you know, I've been craving for a cheesecake," she said.
We went to the cafe and spent a good two hours then decided to go home.
When we went home, what I saw next really broke my heart.
