Looking now at my phone, I tapped on the recent contacts to make a call to Sheryl. She was my so called girl soul mate aka partner or whatever you call it, who can never match any guy in this whole damned world.

We complemented each other; while I was protective and concerned, she was sensitive and rational.

She knew that I was talking to some guy recently and fancied him too but she did not get to the bottom of it till I wanted her to.

I tapped her name and I heard "Hey beautiful!"

Well that's Sheryl for you; she has to spice up everything with something....

"What's up Sheryl?" I asked her in a monotone. I could imagine her hands shrugging up in the air.

"So?...."said Sheryl trying to drag our conversation...."How is Mr. Enigmatic?"

"Huh!" I sighed, "...What do you think?"

"Questa! Are you spilling out or you want me to come down and check your messages....? ", she shouted.

"Whooohooo.... Somebody's getting all riled up" I giggled. "Ok, listen.... nothing's happened much.. But...."

"But what?" she screeched.

"He kinda asked me out lately..." I whimpered like a fearful cat not sure of her reaction, so a part of me wanted her not to listen (lame!).

There was considerable silence on the other side of the phone.
I checked the screen of my phone, the call was still connected. I could actually imagine her fainting.

I sighed. "Sheryl, you there?" I asked curiously but least worried.

"Yes...." she called out with a choking voice.

"What happened?" I asked with a bugged tone now, she was really getting on my nerves.

"I almost fainted!" she giggled.

I shrugged my hands in the air, nobody knows her better than me.

"Enough Sheryl, Just pull off the drama or I'll never talk to you about him and I mean it." I tried to hide my laughter to  the moment and freak her out.

"Ok tell me..... What have you thought about it? Are you.....going to say a yes?" she asked, trying to hide her excitement but failing miserably.

"Oh. Come on! It's not fiction that I said a yes and we are off in our wagon saying chao to all of you.. I don't even know him that much." I said, with a frown on my forehead now.

"So go out with him and get to know him...." she said in an obvious-common-sense tone.

"What if he does not reveal his real side? What if he kidnaps me?" my sentence trailed off when I realized I was not making any sense now and that she was laughing at me.

"Ok, I actually want you to fetch out any information, you can dig about him." I demanded, knowing that she's an I-know-everyone personality.

"Ok, I'll get back to you in fifteen minutes." she disconnected the call.

While I waited, I got back to my earlier eye-conversation that I was having with the ceiling.

My phone vibrated and I fumbled with it almost dropping it with nervousness not knowing what to expect.

"Hey..." I started but was cut by her as she informed me in a typical reporter-tone without a pause. I glued the phone to my ear to grasp everything I heard and kept the call as soon as we were done.

I flipped my phone while I was lost in thoughts. I concluded the freshly given piece of news.

a) He was from Canada and had come down to Mexico to do his M.B.A. (Yeah I knew this one)
