Monday morning came, and there was juan with the huge stacks of books again. I stopped him and said, "You're going to wreck your back with all these books!" He just laughed and handed me half the books ...

Over the next four years, Juan and I became best friends ...
When we were seniors, we began to think about college. kyle decided on Georgetown and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends. the miles would never be a problem.
He was going to be a doctor and i was going for business on scholarship. Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speach for Graduation.
I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak. There was Juan on graduation day. Now so different from the bookworm i met four years prior, yet still the same in many ways. He was really one of those guys who found himself in Highschool.
He had gained so much confidence and self-esteem. I think I have have been a little jealous of that but I was happy for him.
I could see that he was nervous About his speach. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, you'll do just fine." He Looked at me gratefully. "Thanks ..." He said.
He cleared his throat and and started his speech ---
