Brooklyn "Brooke" Jones:
"I'm really going to miss you babe," I rolled my eyes and shook my head. It wasn't anything but college and she was acting like I was about to get rich and leave forever. "Mom please chill out," I spoke. "I'm literally not even twenty minutes away."
I was literally right up the street from my parents which was honestly my decision. I wasn't ready to leave Atlanta just yet, half heartedly because it was my home and I couldn't see myself living anywhere else. I was going to Clark Atlanta University and boy was I excited. I was finally out of my parents house and free to make any decision that I wanted to just as long as I stayed focus on my career, which was to be a writer or editor. That's were I loved to be so that was what I was wanting to do."I know baby, but it's still hard for me," she spoke. "Jeremy is gone. Your fathers gone out of town and it's just me. You're my only child and I know that you don't get it but I'm happy for you and I'm glad you're doing way better than me at my age makes me feel like I did something right."
I smiled. "I love you too momma."
"Thanks Baby," she spoke. "Where's Teo—
"Auntie!" Teonna ran in the room hugging my mother. "Girl get off of your aunt like that," I heard my auntie Tasha speak. She held her arms out and I walked over to her giving her a hug before I let go. She touched my face. "You look beautiful honey. Look at you both," she spoke staring at me then Tee then my mom. "Y'all are all grown up. I wanna cry but I ain't even gone lie I'm happy as hell y'all are on y'all own. Three down, two more to go," she laughed and I chuckled as Tee smacked her lips. "Ew momma really? I can't believe you would even say that," she pouted.
"Girl shut up," she spoke. "I love the both of you now when we leaving boo," she spoke looking over at my mom. My mom laughed standing up and coming over to me with tears in her eyes. "I'll miss you boo," she spoke hugging me. "I love you too Mama. I'm just down the street."
She laughed. "Okay girls were out. Call if you need anything."
"Bye boos," Aunt Layla exclaimed.
I waited for them to leave before I turned to Teonna. "Party tonight?"
Teonna smirked. "You already know what's up with me bitch," she spoke bending her body over and twerking. I smiled laughing. "Bitch it's up tonight."
"Who you telling?" She spoke rhetorically and I laughed. "What are you wearing boo?"
"I don't know," she spoke. "I was going to get something out of your closet. You dress cuter than me anyway."
