"Ugh," I groaned cutting off my alarm clock. "Today is not my day." I raised my head up from the bed and rubbed my eyes. It was the day after my birthday and I still hadn't called anyone back. Mainly because I didn't really celebrate my birthday. I started to move until I realize there was a big problem.... in my bed. I tapped his shoulder. "Hmm?"

"You gotta go," I spoke getting out of bed. I put my robe on and tied the knot. He raised his head. "How about you let me take you to breakfast or something before you kick me out of your house, Brooklyn?"

I gave him a small smile and crossed my arms. It wasn't like I hadn't heard that before. "I'm not hungry, and I have important things to do today, and it's already nine thirty so you've gotta go."

"I really can't do this with you, so can you just leave, please, Gabe."

He shook his head and I knew he was mad but I didn't really care. "Every time," he mumbled. But I heard exactly what he said. "What?!"

"Every time. Every time we get closer to building something, you push away," he spoke.

"I'm not pushing away I just don't want to do this. You knew that when we first met, Gabe," I spoke. And he knew I was telling the truth. Gabe and I had met two years ago working together. He was a nice man, and as white as they come, but no one could overlook how fine he was exactly. Not only did he have a smile, but a couple of tattoos on his arms. He was an investor with my magazines. But we had only started messing around about a year ago. "Yeah I did, but I figured shit would eventually change with you. But I guess that's something you'll never do."
